She’s half in love with him before the evening ends.A wager that ruins them both. One unforgettable night with Leo leaves Georgina compromised in both heart and body. Now she’s keeping secrets from everyone, especially from Leo. Will he forgive her? Or let Georgina go forever?
“Do you mind?” Leo pulled a cheroot out of his pocket without waiting for a response. He flicked his wrist, lighting the end. The fragrant smoke spiraled up into the air above their heads, disappearing into the night. They sat in companionable silence for some time, with only the sound of the fountain.“May I?” she said, holding out her hand for the cheroot. He gave her an odd look but handed it over, the brush of his fingers against hers sending a tingle down her arm.Georgina hadn’t indulged in a cheroot since coming to London and before, she’d only done so to shock whatever gentleman had produced it from his pocket. Ben, ever complicit in her bad behavior, had taught her one day when she was fifteen. Maybe sixteen. It became a small bit of rebellion to steal cheroots from her father’s study. She took a short puff, blowing out a series of perfect smoke rings.A sound came from Leo, sifting beneath her skirts like a wisp of the cheroot smoke, winding its way up her silken clad legs, identical to the sound he’d made when his head had been between her thighs.“Quite a trick.” Taking the cheroot from her, he drew in the smoke then leaned over and caught his mouth against hers, blowing the smoke gently between her lips before breaking away.Georgina immediately formed her mouth into an ‘O’ and blew another perfect ring of smoke into the night air. She turned with a wiggle of her brows to find his gaze fixed on her. “I have many talents.”Tossing the cheroot, he ground it beneath his heel and reached for her before Georgina had a chance to move away. Fingers wrapping around the back of her neck, Leo pulled her close, mouth slanting against hers with exquisite tenderness.“I still remember,” he whispered against her lips, “the first time I saw you. Powder blue silk, your dangerously low neckline edged in Belgian lace. I kept waiting for a nipple to pop out.”“I wasn’t sure you even noticed I had a bosom.”“I noticed everything about you. The way the silk of your gown rustled when you moved. The sound of your accent flattening every lovely word you spoke. Your scent, like something wild growing in the forest.”“I told you.” Heat wafted off his body. “It is only soap.”“I couldn’t take my eyes from you. I still can’t.” Leo leaned back, eyes shining with something that looked very much like anguish before he jerked his head away.
Kathleen Ayers is the bestselling author of Regency and Victorian romance with strong, witty damaged heroes who can’t help falling for intelligent, sassy heroines. An avid reader, Kathleen fell in love with historical romance as a teenager after picking up a copy of Sweet Savage Love. She reads everything, from romance to thrillers, Stephen King and fantasy. Settled in the tranquil remoteness of the Scottish Highlands, Ardnoch Estate caters to the rich and famous. It is as unattainable and as mysterious as its owner --ex-Hollywood leading man Lachlan Adair--and it's poised on the edge of a dark scandal.
After narrowly escaping death, police officer Robyn Penhaligon leaves behind her life in Boston in search of some answers. Starting with Mac Galbraith, the Scottish father who abandoned her to pursue his career in private security. To re-connect with Mac, Robyn will finally meet a man she's long resented. Lachlan Adair. Hostility instantly brews between Robyn and Lachlan. She thinks the head of the Adair family is high-handed and self-important. And finding closure with Mac is proving more difficult than she ever imagined. Robyn would sooner leave Ardnoch, but when she discovers Mac is embroiled in a threat against the Adairs and the exclusive members of the estate, she finds she's not yet ready to give up on her father.
Determined to ensure Mac's safety, Robyn investigates the disturbing crimes at Ardnoch, forcing her and Lachlan to spend time together. Soon it becomes clear a searing attraction exists beneath their animosity, and temptation leads them down a perilous path. While they discover they are connected by something far more addictive than passion, Lachlan cannot let go of his grip on a painful past: a past that will destroy his future ... if the insidious presence of an enemy lurking in the shadows of Ardnoch doesn't do the job first.
REVIEW:
The On Dublin Street and Harts Boardwalk are two of my favorites of all times, I cant go back and re-read over and over again. I was thrilled to get another fantastic start of a new series from the fabulous Samantha Young. This one didn't disappoint, the suspense, the romance, the complex characters and wonderful secondary kept me hooked from start to finish.
Here With Me follows Robyn Penhaligon, who makes the journey to Ardnoch Estate in Scotland, where she wants to meet with her estranged father Mac. Robyn a now former cop is looking for answers to why her father abandon her, a near death incident has brought on the need for closure. Robyn also comes face to face with Lachlan Adair, the man who is her fathers boss and the reason her father left her behind, work over family. But Robyn discovers a lot about her family, her father, the Adair's and herself on her visit, and when her father gets her a a stalker starts becoming more volatile, Robyn's police background takes on the task to stop the person who wants to not only hurt her family but the Adair's.
This was such a fantastic story, lots of emotional rollercoaster and heart breaking moments for a broken family to reconnect. Young is a master of creativity, her writing is always beautiful created and her characters even though complex are wonderful done. I connected to all of them, even the secondary characters which I know will pop up in the future books, they pulled me in and made me care for them all to find some happiness. Robyn was the strongest, her will to get answer to get that void filled by her father who had her at such a young age just broke my heart. I rooted for her to not only get answers but to find herself and know that she was important too. Lachlan, is a broody man, he is use to the Hollywood spotlight, but has always treated outsides with a bit of a distain. His first meeting with Robyn goes spectacularly bad and he just cant seem to figure out why she brings out the awful side to him.
Overall I devoured this book in one sitting, I need to know who this stalker was and why, Young does a great job keeping the readers guessing. Even though I thought I knew who is was, I was super wrong in the end and I liked that, because I hate when I can figure out the big surprise too quickly. The romance as always is full of passion, angst, sexy steamy moments, all the goodies that bring me back to Youngs romance stories. I can't wait to see which Adair is next, because I adored them all.

Blurb
Lady Andromeda Barrington is the most unsuitable young lady in London.
At least in the Duke of Granby’s opinion.
Granby doesn’t care for bastard relatives or tainted pedigrees and Andromeda possesses both. Nor does he like opinionated young ladies who enjoy hurling insults in his direction.
Andromeda is, in short, the most annoying creature he’s ever met.
When she arrives, uninvited, to a house party given at his estate, Granby can’t decide whether to kiss Andromeda senseless or send her packing.
Andromeda is the victim of infatuation and bad luck.
The infatuation is that of her sister for the Earl of Blythe, but the misfortune belongs solely to Andromeda after she is forced to attend a house party hosted by the Duke of Granby. She and the duke are previously, unpleasantly, acquainted. The entire party is bound to be awkward, and their mutual dislike difficult to hide. Her only recourse is to avoid the giant block of ice masquerading as a duke. Thankfully, Granby’s estate is enormous.
But instead of mutual hostility upon arriving, Romy is greeted with unexpected attraction. Insults turn into flirtation. Heated discussions become lingering kisses.
Her heart is ruined. Granby may not even have one.
And the duke has already chosen another young lady to be his duchess.
The Design of Dukes is a steamy historical romance with a guaranteed happily ever after and next in the series The Beautiful Barringtons.
“Were you sketching Granby’s backside?” Blythe laughed out from between his gloved fingers, clearly finding the situation amusing. “I suppose there’s a first time for everything.”
Heat stung her cheeks at Blythe’s scandalous statement. “I was absolutely not, my lord.”
“Could you find nothing else more worthy of your talent?” Blythe’s tone turned flirtatious. “Mine, perhaps?” Blythe turned sideways and wiggled his hips.
Blythe was a shameless rogue. Though Romy had to admit upon inspection, Blythe’s backside, like the rest of him, was rather magnificent.
Granby’s eyes fluttered shut, head shaking as if Blythe continuously tried his limited patience, before once again fixing Romy with a frosty glare.
“I was sketching Miss Cummings’s costume,” Romy waved in the direction of the young lady who was now wandering off, oblivious to the fact her gown had been the cause of Romy’s current situation.
“And eavesdropping.” Granby’s snarl met her ears.
“Who knows what else you were sketching,” Blythe said mischievously. “I’d like to take a look.”
She immediately hid her notebook within the folds of her skirts. “I’m not certain,” Romy snapped back, embarrassed to having been caught looking at Granby and having Blythe take notice, “there was anything of merit for me to overhear. If you must know—”
“Oh, I must.” Granby drawled.
“If you must know,” she imitated in a mockery of Granby, “I was struck dumb at the sight of the duke’s coat.”
“My coat?” The dark eyes narrowed blasting her with dislike.
“Yes, Your Grace.” She nodded as if truly at odds with what she was about to relay to him. “I noticed the length is incorrect. Two inches longer would be much more in line with what is deemed fashionable.”
Granby’s massive shoulders stiffened. One gloved hand tugged at his collar though she hadn’t said a word about his cravat. Yet.
“She may have a point, Gran,” Blythe added helpfully looking between his coat and Granby’s. “I think I mentioned—”
“I do not,” Granby interrupted Blythe, all his attention firmly on Romy, “take fashion advice from a woman who has the poor sense to come to a party dressed as a shrub.”
Romy sucked in her breath. Her costume was lovely. She was a dryad. A tree nymph. It was true that very few saw the vision of her costume today, guessing somewhat correctly she was a tree of some sort but she certainly, emphatically, did not look like a shrub. Granby himself was a mountain masquerading as a duke.
“I am a tree nymph, Your Grace.” Romy stated with determination.
“I beg to differ.” The dark eyes ran down her body. “You look like a shrub. All you need is a bit of red and I’d mistake you for a holly.”

REVIEW:
This was my first introduction to K.K Allen and I'm happy to say she just earned another fan. This was a sweet, emotional and tug and pull at the heart story. I loved the sweet childhood romance that grew over years of obstacles. It was a quick read but a good read.
Defying Gravity follows Amelia and Toby through the years of following their passions into the NBA. Both have huge dreams and many things make their goals fluctuate and their friendship and romance have a ton of highs and lows.
Amelia is a strong and sweet woman, she dreams of being a dancer but not just any dancer one the NBA lioness'. During her journey she see's the reality of the world she wanted so badly to be apart of. I really felt for her, the ups and downs but she was so strong and made the right decision about her career.
Toby is as sweet as can be, he wears his heart on his shoulder and has so many awakenings in his personal life that I wanted to give him a bog hug. His family problems weigh heavily on him through out the book and Amelia is the one person who just gets him and is there for him. His career is the one thing besides Amelia that he knows is right and hes great at it. I loved seeing his growth.
Overall this is a great story, sweet and sexy romance, lots of depth into the world of dancing for the NBA. I have heard the stories and seen shows about it, its a grueling world and those dancers work their butts off. I also loved that my hometown was mentioned in the book, the descriptions, even minimal reminded me of home. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Excerpt
Gwen: Leo stands with so much force it pushes his chair over, bumping the table and knocking some of Teague’s test results to the floor. “Mason, this teacher is clearly incompetent and I want her replaced—no, fuck that—I want her fired.” I don’t give Mason much time to reply. I stand just as fast and, though he has a good six inches on me, I’m in his face. “Okay, Mr. Eastman, you want me fired so badly, answer me this. How much time do you spend with Teague each day on his homework? I’ve sent home small readers with questions to be answered each day, even if you have to write the responses for him. I’ve never gotten a completed form in return.” As I speak, the harsh teacher tone takes over and demands his attention. I don’t miss how his hands curl into fists when I continue. “I’ve sent him home with a phonetical set of flash cards and a completion sheet. After ten times, he gets a reward. I have yet to receive that back. The same goes for number recognition. So, you tell me I’m not doing my job. But, since turnabout is fair play, how are you doing on your end? It takes a village, Mr. Eastman. Let me know when you move in and we can talk.” Leo: How is it that a man who has access to countless hot women wakes on the morning of his kid’s playdate like it’s fucking Christmas? And with a jolly ripe boner at the thought of his son’s teacher. Yeah, this guy here. I’m not ashamed of it but is it appropriate to ask this woman out while we are essentially chaperoning our daughters? See, I haven’t always been a manwhore. With Dez, I was the most committed father and husband—I only had eyes for her. And maybe these new feelings make it obvious I’m ready to start over again. With the first glance at my phone, I’m accosted with a shit-ton of texts from Donna. She invited me over last night but I’d told her I was taking my kids to the movies. This crazy, bleached-blonde tried to invite herself with us to see Venom. She had no idea it was a Marvel movie, in addition to being oblivious to the fact that I’d never let her get within arm’s reach of my kids. A good fuck she’s been but that’s all she ever could be. And now, after imagining the teacher as a person I want more than sex with, I’m on the offensive with today’s playdate. But don’t fucking get me wrong—I sure as fuck want to fill her up—but I want more than that. I can’t fucking believe that I, Leo Eastman, am admitting to this. Shit, shit, shit. But it’s true

They say one action doesn’t define you. I killed a man. Stabbed him in the neck and licked the blood off my lips after I did it.
Still, one action doesn’t define you.
I could have called anyone. My father, the Prez of The Fallen MC, our family lawyer, my best friend, Lila, or my brother, King.
I didn’t.
Instead, I called Lionel Danner, the police officer renowned for taking down the Nightstalkers MC. The man who had been my father’s arch nemesis for decades. The man who hated everything I stood for. A man who had disappeared from my life without explanation three years ago.
I called him.
And maybe one action doesn’t define you, but killing a bad man and calling in the good changed my life and it sure as hell changed his.
The third book in the Fallen Men Series. A standalone featuring Harleigh Rose and Officer Lionel Danner.
