REVIEW:

The second book in the Adair Family series is just as fantastic and them some of the first book. There with You follows Regan, the sister of Robyn from the first book. She has hit a point in her life where she wants to find her place, her purpose, fix what is broken between her and her sister and show people that she isn't what her mother has always made everyone believe.

There with You gutted me in so many ways, Regan broke my heart, I felt for this woman who has been made out to be a wild careless woman. She and her sister Robin make amends, especially after Robyn learns about why her sister wasn't there when she was shot and in the hospital. I loved all the moments with the sisters, they have the unbreakable bond and understanding for each other and it was sad to see their mother just didn't get either of these amazing women.

Regan comes to Scotland to be with her sister and work on their relationship. But she also feels a calling to this small town, there is something special here and even more so when she becomes the nanny for her sisters new brother in law Thane. Thanes children are two adorable and serious wise kids, they lost their mother young and grow this wonderful bond with Regan. They also bring to light Regan's talents, she is a wonderful teacher and care taker. Regan and Thane however cant deny the attraction towards each other and they, but Thane has trust issues and something from his past that wont go away.

Overall this was a suspenseful and passionate story, Regan and Thane have the hottest chemistry. I loved Thanes children, they brought something special to the story and were adorable! Robyn and Lachlan are of course back and the readers will be happy to know we get more on how their relationship is doing. I cant wait to see which Adair is next in this series, I'm really rooting for Arrochar, I want to know more about her and her relationship with her brothers.

REVIEW:

I was really looking forward to Kerrigan's story, from the first two books I was super interested in her backstory and why she was so dedicated into owning rental properties in Calamity. I was not disappointed, I adored Kerrigan and her drive for making something of herself in the place she loved so much, Calamity.

The Brazen follows Kerrigan who has just discovered her mentor and investor has died in a tragic accident. It leaves her with the loss of someone she dearly cared about but also the financial burden that her investments have put her in. She is buried in debt that she had borrowed to put towards the properties she is trying to rent out. Now the grandson of her mentor Pierce has told her she owes the money back and only has a short time to pay. Pierce is nothing like his grandfather, cold and demanding and Kerrigan and Pierce clash right of the start. But when these two are put together during a bad storm, they start to understand where each come from in respects to who they are as well as who their mentor really was.

Kerrigan is one of a kind, she wants to stand on her own two feet and the one person who supported her through and through is gone. Her family doesn't support her and her brother is a constant bully. Thankfully she has her wonderful friends and the town who adores her. Kerrigan's family drama broke my heart, they family is blinded by what they want and not seeing how much their daughter wants to succeed on her own. Her kindness and independence makes her special.

Pierce is a moody and broken man, he was hurt by two people he thought he could trust and his anger is push towards Kerrigan. But he sees something in her which makes him respect her dedication. She slowly peels back his layers and he starts to realize that maybe this darkness that he's set himself in has an end somewhere.

Overall another fantastic story set in the world of the small town Calamity. Devney aka Willa Nash is a master at small town romances. Her world building is real and always feels like a warm and welcoming place to get lost in. I can't wait to see what's in story for the next couple.

Jessica Prince does it again, Wallflower is the 5th book in her contemporary romance series Redemption, based in a small town in a tight knit community. Prince knows her readers, she's a master at connecting each book to each other without the feeling of overwhelming us with so many characters, its always majorly focused on the main duo.

Wallflower follows Willow, the shy and sometimes awkward office assistant for Elite Security, a bunch of alpha males who have her back. But she has finally hit a low, not only is her car pretty much dead, her beloved father is ill, the medical bills are racking up and her sister are never there for support. Then the one and only Gavin Stone Hendrix, who works at the towns garage is the one to pick her up when her car breaks down. Even though Willow is her awkward self, he always treats her with kindness. Until the day all he starts thinking about is her...

Willow is the sweetest of sweet, super kind and will do anything for anyone, especially her father. A lot has been put on her plate and my heart just pulled for her. Thankfully the ladies from the past books see that she needs so intervention and help Willow see how awesome she is. I love the sisterhood in this series, very supportive and hilarious.

Stone is just like the rest of the alpha men in this town, the brother of Shane from Bitter Sweet, and the biker big guy who works at the local garage. He usually has a type, never wants to settle down but this guy is about to be taken to his knees by the local shy sweetheart. He's a pain in the butt stubborn guy but I liked that he just kept going against his thoughts, he knew deep down what he wanted.

Overall, great story, lots of family drama and watching a Wallflower bloom brighter than the rest. I cant wait to see what this small town brings out next in the romance.

It had been a good day.

Actually, that was an understatement. It had been a great day. At least until I got to my dad’s house to go through his kitchen and see what all he needed, only to discover that Elaina had seriously downplayed the need for food in his house.

I’d played it off that I was totally fine for my father’s benefit as I stewed in my anger while making a grocery list that took up the front and back of the page.

By the time I got to the store, I was in serious need of an outlet, so I cued up the Pissed Chick playlist on my phone, stuffed earbuds in my ears, and got to work. I was halfway through shopping, Alanis Morissette wailing about how you oughta know in my ears when I rounded the corner and my cart crashed into someone else’s.

“Sorry, I—” The rest of the words died in my throat when I looked up and saw the cart I’d plowed into belonged to none other than Stone himself, the very man I’d been thinking about nonstop since my talk with Lark earlier that morning. “Stone,” I said on a gasp, sucking back the air that my lungs had expelled at the mere sight of him. “Hi.”

He said something I couldn’t hear over the music ringing in my ears.

I gave him an apologetic smile and yanked the buds out of my ears. “Sorry, I didn’t hear you. What was that?”

The song had just reached the chorus, the volume so loud it carried several feet, and I could tell from the grin on his face that he definitely heard it. “Wow. Didn’t take you for an Alanis fan,” he said in that gravelly rasp that always made my skin tingle and pressure build between my thighs. What could I say? The man gave great voice. I didn’t know if male phone sex operators were a thing or not, but if they were, he could make a freaking fortune.

“Oh, uh, yeah. Sometimes. I have a playlist I like to listen to it when someone’s made me ragey.”

On cue, the song ended, and the next queued up; this time, it was Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name.”

His eyes went big at the sound of it. “You’re just full of surprises, mouse.”

I absolutely love this series! The first book in the Starfighter series introduced me to author Grace Goodwin, which I went and binged all her other books. The second in this series follow the second in the trio of female gamer friends, Mia. I couldn't wait to see what suspenseful sci-fi romance was kicked up with this next installment.

Starfighter Command: Game 2 follows Mia, who has finally finished the Starfighter Training Academy game, just like her friend Jamie. However Jaimie went dark after finishing the game and now Mia is in for a surprise. Kassius aka Kass is arrogant, a rule breaker but has his heart set on helping stop the Dark Fleet and Queen Raya at all costs. He works his tech magic to get into the Training Academy Program and meets his bond mate Mia. When she completes the Academy he brings her straight the Velerion and into the war to save their worlds. Together they fight against traitors, the Dark fleet and their hearts.

Mia is such a rock chick, she is gung ho and ready to battle as soon as Kass brings her to Velerion. She actually takes the reality that this game is not a game but real with ease. She is a tech genius and her smarts is what makes her good at what she does. She and Kass have this intense bond and of course neither can resist each other. Kass will do anything to protect Mia and save his planet and her, but he has to deal with the politics and higher ups that are gunning for him.

Overall this series is fully of action and suspense, just like the first, we are put straight into battle against the Dark Fleet and hope that our new couple can survive. The romance is off the charts sexy and Goodwin knows her romance, she make the pages sizzle with sexy. The past characters also have some moments which interconnect this series just like her others. I cant wait for the next book!

REVIEW:

Devney Perry is such a fantastic writer, her beautiful worlds building around small towns and the couples that live there are just so darn good. I can never get enough, the Tin Gypsy series has a little more edge and a darker side then the others but its still gold.

Fallen Jester follows Cassandra Cline who came home for a break from studying to her home town in Clinton Forge. After a night out with her friend, she ends up going home with the irresistible and notorious playboy Leo Winters. When she discovers she pregnant her world takes a massive one eighty and she makes the decision to move back home. However Leo doesn't believe Cassandra and pretty much wants nothing to do with her. But Leo is a Tin Gypsy and the other members women know who Cassandra is and what she has gone through, Leo is about to get a rude awakening and discover its time to grow up.

Cassandra like all the other ladies in the Tin Gypsy series is one heck of a tough woman. Her world has changed and she is determined to move forward and make the best life for her child, with or without Leo. I loved that she never backs down, she puts her foot down with Leo. I also adore her parents and her father who is down right the best and makes sure his daughter has the best. Leo I pretty much wanted to smack him 60% of the book, he frustrates me to know end. But he grows and I loved how he became the man he didn't know he could be. All the past couples are back and are better than ever, the group brings a wonderful round of support for Cassandra and Leo and I adored all the family moments they brought along.

Overall this was another great addition to this series, the suspense in this one was just as intense and heart stopping as the past books, the big bad is still there and still wanting to hurt the Tin Gypsy's. With the next book being the last, I'm hoping that this group get's the HEA and also stops the Warriors who just keep coming back.
