REVIEW:

As always L.J. Shen writes with so much emotion and knows what her readers want. I was a mess reading this book, I seriously had a love hate with the male lead, but it was all good because I knew what to expect of Knight and a child of a hot hole. The men in her stories are always damaged, full of angst, mad a the world of someone. But they are also vulnerable, mostly to the one women who just gets them. It can be read as a stand alone, but I would recommend reading at least the first book in the series to get some perspective of Knight and Vaughn, Luna isnt so much in the first book. However to get a better understanding of Knights parents, I would at least read their book in the Sinners of Saint series, because I feel everyone should know Dean and Rosie.

Broken Knight follows Luna Rexroth and Knight Cole, who grew up together, are neighbors, and just get each other. Ride or Die they say to each other. However Luna has been a "mute" since her birth mother left when she was a baby. Luna can talk but chooses not to because of her past. Knight is her protector her best friend and also wants her. Both over the years battle their emotions, battle their demons and also deal with the heartbreaking reality of parents who love them and abandon them.

This story will bring out the push and pull of your heart, you will love and hate the choices these two make over the course of the book. They will frustrate you with how much miscommunication their is, but its raw and real and they both have so much growth from so much pain. Prepare yourself to fall for these characters just like you fell for their parents.

Right now I wanted to just be here in silence with my best friend. And somehow, I don’t know how, but Luna sensed it. So we sat there for what felt like two hours but was probably a lot less, until I opened my eyes again. Her eyes were closed, too. I watched her for a while.

When she opened her eyes, it felt like she took something away from me.

“Let’s jump,” she said.

“I’m quite fond of my limbs, Moonshine.”

“Stop being such a big baby.”

“Big, quarterback baby who just finished a football season in one piece and would like to keep all his body parts intact.”

REVIEW:

The Legacy is my first introduction to Dylan Allen and I'm happy to say I have been pulled into her writing and into this world of the rich and powerful. I loved the concept between two wealthy feuding families and how it felt like I was pulled into the world of the TV Show Dallas. The Legacy brings together two people who are polar opposites but have this park this intense connection that was off the charts.

The Legacy follows Hayes Rivers, who has been living in Italy until the time is right or his becomes of age to take on his families legacy. He was boring into one of the most prominent families in Texas, their only blood heir to a company he is born to rule. But being the new King, he finds his queen in the most unsuspecting way. The two begin a journey of passion, angst, family drama and twists that I didn't see coming.

Hayes hands down won me over, he intrigued me even from the beginning as a little boy who lost his father but didn't even want to attend his funeral. He was already having to grow up fast and then having to leave his life behind to move to Italy. Even though it was a brief introduction, I knew this kid was going to be all alpha when he grew up. Boy was I right. Hayes was betrayed and scorned, when he meets Confidence and their encounter goes from intrigue, anger, to instant connection. He thinks she's a gold digger, where she actually is just a lost woman who needs to find her footing.

Confidence is a very unique female lead, I love snarky, smart and strong women. I had some trouble connecting with her, she felt a little rushed and chaotic when she's introduced. The insta-love threw me a little bit too, I'm not used to reading how two people fall for each other that quickly, I like a little more build up. Nonetheless, I enjoyed how confidence didn't always abide by her name, she needed to ride of her insecurities after what happened to her with her job and a-hole ex. She is smart and I felt Hayes was the right it for her to boost herself up. Not because hes wealthy but because of the way her saw her, beautiful and smart.

Since this is a duet I was holding my breath at the end, I knew something was coming but man the last few pages had me on the edge of my seat. Can I just say I'm soooo excited for Remi's character. Looking forward to the next book!

He rakes his eyes down my body. My white blouse feels thin under his heated gaze. I shift in my shoes when he lingers on my hips.

“You’ve missed me,” he says.

“I haven’t,’’ I lie.

“If I touched your pussy, what would I feel?” he asks.

“That’s one question you won’t be answering tonight.”

“I want to touch you.” He dips his head and kisses my cheek. His hand grips my hip.

“But, I need you to understand—” His eyes go from pleading to demanding in a blink.

“That you thought I was hiding something?” I interject.

“No,” he says sharply. “That I’m responsible for my entire family. Not just the ones that are alive right now. But the ones who will be alive in a hundred years. I just had to keep the estate intact because I lost sight of that once and married someone who I barely knew.”

“Well, I’m not her,” I remind him.

“I know that … and I knew it in Italy, too. By the time the report came, I didn’t care what it said.”

“Why not?” I ask.

“I already knew everything that I needed to about you. You’re the woman who leans in when most people lean away,” he says. I want so badly to throw my arms around his neck and tell him it’s okay. That I see him, and that I’ll always lean in.

My mind is still reeling over everything that happened in this book, for real... this one just threw me in so many directions and I was holding my breath half the time. This was an insanely great book, I seriously had no idea what was going to happen next, I was shocked when some of the questions I had were answers, my theories were so wrong, but I was glad in some ways. March really knows how to throw us readers a curve ball of awesomeness.

Reveling in Sin is the final book in the Sin trilogy and boy, I'm warning you all now gird your loins! Get ready for the most intense family chaos you will ever read! Whitney Gable and Lincoln Riscoff were finally finding there happy, choosing each other over the chaotic family problems and angst. Until they are thrown for a loop when someone is sent to the hospital. But that's not the end, one after another, the Riscoffs and Gables unfold more and more family secrets, more shocking than the next. But Lincoln is more determined than every to end the feud between families and be with the ones he's always loved.

Let me just say I loved how this story ended, but everything that happened from learning more about Karma and getting answers. To Harrison's attitude with the world and then Crickets wedding. I was spinning with questions and when I got the answers, I was screaming at the book! No Way! The romance is always what I'm for, I loved the connection between Lincoln and Whitney, but I freaking loved the families insane stories, betrayals, pasts shocking secrets, more family romance intertwined that I realized. It was fantastic! March never ceases to amazing me with her story building, writing and characters that you just push for happiness. One book after the next, her books become my new favorite. I highly recommend this series, heck any of her books, but this one was full of twist and turns that I didn't see coming.

I was an absolute mess reading this book and loved every minute of it! Prince is a new author to me and I randomly came across this book in my kindle unlimited recommendations and boy was I a happy reader.

Ladies and Gents gird your loins while reading this book because its one hell of a roller coaster of emotional romance and rock star heaven. This is the first book in the Civil Corruption series, there is going to be four total as there are four band members to get addicted too, and they are sexy as *bleep*.

Anyways this story follows the sweetly heartbroken Gwen, she has been hit with one blow after another, losing both her parents and trying to start fresh in a new city with her bestie. She takes a chance at a party that is supposedly hosted by a popular band. But feeling way out of her comfort zone, she leave the chaos of party to go to a quite part of the house, where she runs into Garrett. Unknown to her, he's the drummer for the band whose throwing the party. They have a connection, they talk and bond through the night. But its not the same the next morning when reality hits and Gwen is face with the *real* Garrett. But life takes a crazy turn when she finds out after their night together she has another shocker to add to her list.

There is a lot of ups and downs for Gwen and Garrett, they may have a connection but Gwen has seen a side of Garrett that she is determined to have nothing to do with. And frankly I didn't blame her one bit. I would do exactly what she did in her position. Gwen is very headstrong and independent, she is loyal, passionate and has such a good heart for her friends and family. I hurt for her when she was hurting and wanted her to find happiness for her and Liddy.

Garrett is a jerk and as the reader you will not like him for a lot of reason, redemption is key for him and he has a lot to make up for. But he is surrounded by so many negative things, the life of a celebrity is anything but happy, there are drugs, groupies, corrupt media and people who supposedly are suppose to help you, and don't. So I was sometimes on his side but mostly 80% on Gwen side of things.

In the end I loved this story because neither of these characters are perfect, they are both trying to do their best and sometimes they fail without trying too. The secondary characters are freaking perfect, I loved Gwen's bestie and Garrett's bodyguard, they added a great amount of cuteness and humor. Then there are the other members of the band, they are all extremely flawed and a hot mess, so I can't wait to see where their stories take them.
