BLURB:

The former Tin Gypsy motorcycle club has everyone in Clifton Forge, Montana convinced they’ve locked their clubhouse doors and ripped off their patches. Everyone but Bryce Ryan. There’s more happening at the club’s garage than muscle car restorations and Harley rebuilds. Her instincts are screaming there’s a story—one she’s going to tell.

As the new owner of the small town’s newspaper, Bryce is hungry for more than birth announcements and obituaries. When a woman is brutally killed and all signs point to the Tin Gypsies, Bryce is determined to expose the club and their leader, Kingston “Dash” Slater, as murderers.

Bryce bests Dash match after match, disappointed her rugged and handsome opponent turns out to be an underwhelming adversary. Secrets are exposed. Truths defeat lies. Bryce is poised to win this battle in a landslide.

Then Dash breaks all the rules and tips the scales.

One kiss, and she’s fighting to save more than just her story. She’s fighting to save her heart from the Gypsy King.

REVIEW:

Devney Perry is one of my top five authors, she never disappointing and what I love even more is she always finds a small way to bring her readers back into the same world her other stories are set in. They don't need to be read however, as this can be a stand alone, but her characters are connected in small ways and mentioned from past books.

Gypsy King follows Dash (Brother of Nick from The Clover Chapel), his father is accused of murder and the new local reporter Bryce is loving every minute of bashing his father and digging into their former motorcycle clubs past. He tried to make her life a little more miserable, but they end up working together to solve the mystery behind the murder, because his father is innocent and someone wants him to take the fall.

Bryce is a go getter, she was a new reporter back in the city and coming home to work at her dads newspaper she wants to bring the local paper some spotlight with a big story. She loves the thrill of chasing the story and even more so wants to dig in deep into why the local motorcycle club Gypsy Kings shut down. But then a murder happens and the clubs old president is the suspect. She has balls of steel and takes on Dash the former presidents son on head to head. They have a spark she cant deny and they make a deal to that she'll get details on his club if she helps him solve why his father has been framed. Even though I felt she was a little too pushy and intrusive, it is a reporters job to be that way, but I also find reporters very annoying so it was hard for my to like her job per say. but I loved her as a person, she loved her parents and she also wanted to help the innocent. Her connection with Dash was a love hate at first and I loved every minute of it.

Dash is rough around the edges but super loyal to his family and friends. His club changed when they shut down, the men involved either left for another one or stayed and worked and his garage as mechanics and supported the locals. They have a great reputation now the spunky new reporter Bryce is making his life hell, both in a good way and bad. I adored Dash, he's sexy, sweet and super loyal to his dad. But his life gets super turned upside down when he and Bryce start to unfold the mystery of the murder and my heart hurt for him. It really digs up his past, but Bryce is there for him.

Overall I loved this story, the alpha hero is always my favorite in Perry's books, she gives so much heart to her characters. Even her secondary characters have a spot light and I'm super excited to see more of them in the next book.
