What a way to keep us on our toes!! I love Meghan Marches style of writing but even more, I love that she always surprises me. And Mount....Oh for the love of all, I love that man. I'm so happy to be back in his city and reading about past characters is always the best.Creole Kingpin follow Magnolia, who is changing her life and moving to a new house and starting a new business. But her past keeps on coming back and that included her past love Moses aka Moby, who is doing everything he can to make sure she knows he isn't going anywhere. But with the FBI, some crazy assassin and Moses' popping in with some surprises, Magnolia is about to get a rude awakening.
Magnolia, dang I didnt realize how much I missed this headstrong lady, she's awesome and I love her bff relationship with Kiera and how she's under the protection of Mount (love him). Poor girl can't seem to catch a break, she's trying to start anew and nothing seems to want to let that happened. Her connection with Moses is awesome, sexy and full of mystery, Im so curious as to more from their past, I loved the little tidbit we get in this first book.
Moses is dangerous and he's hiding quite a bit, the ending really hinted at that, darn that evil cliffhanger of doom! But I'm starting to dig this guy, I totally did not like him in Legends book and didn't think this guy was going to redeem anything, but we will see. He totally adores Magnolia and would do anything for her, so that's a win in my book. But what is he hiding!!! Mount knows and boy is he pushing Moses to spill it.
Overall I loved all the suspense, loved the new characters working with Moses and even more so the past characters!! I can't wait for the next installment!!
