REVIEW:

For the month of November I decided to join a challenge and have a fellow reviewer pick three titles for me to read, one having to have a man in uniform. So I didn’t know what to expect when I started Forgotten Sins, I really didn’t expect one of the most suspenseful and thrilling romance story to come popping out of nowhere. I watch Criminal Minds and so many aspects of this book were trying to figure out who and what the male lead was, good bad? Killer? I was so freaking exciting and frustrating because I didn’t know what was going to happen next!

Forgotten Sins follows Josie who has been called to the hospital because her husband was brought in. But the odd part is Josie hasn’t seen her husband in two years after he suddenly took off with no word or reason. Shane has no idea what happened to him or even who he is. But when Josie comes in a he finds out she’s his wife, he knows he has to stick with her and will do anything to remember why he left her. But as Shane and Josie start to unravel what happened to Shane, they realize he may have been involved in something dangerous. Shane has unusual instincts, intense fighting skills, a way to get people to talk and is just down right scary. This leads to Shane protecting his wife and unraveling a very large puzzle.

Josie is put in a very awkward but somewhat hilarious position. Especially since Shane is hard to resist and is determined to have his wife back in every way. She has to deal with the love of her life who left her two years ago, having no memory of their time together or what he left her. In Josie situation I have no idea what I’d do, but it was obvious whatever happened to him caused a few men to get seriously beat up and Shane no nearly has injured as them. I think Josie could have handled Shane a little better by trying to help him, he obviously didn’t understand what was happening and she kept pushing him away. I would of helped him and tried to get some answers after he got his memory back. Luckily Shane is a stubborn man and still feels a deep connection to Josie even though his memory is jumbled. She in the end can’t resist his intense charm and dangerously protective nature.

Shane is a mystery; half the time I had no idea what was going on with him. But in the beginning the readers know that he and his brothers were apart of some seriously crazy military training. Shane is pure danger and will do anything to find out what happened to him as well as protect Josie, the one key to his past. He also has to deal with the bad guys who cause his memory loss. His brothers come to help after hunting him down and finding out he has no memory. And Shane with no memory is more dangerous than the one who had his memory. I was worried about what would happen once he remembered everything, would he leave Josie again or would he fight whoever was trying to harm him.

Overall the plot twist and fast paced story line kept me on my toes and threw me so many loops. I enjoyed every bantering moments, fight scene, smoking hot kiss and hilarious brotherly humor. The big villain is slightly revealed as Shane’s brothers come to save the day. But I cant wait to learn more about the big bad and what the heck these brothers went through. The ending was perfect and opened another door into how Shane and his family are going to survive. I cant wait to read about Shane’s brother Nathan and Matt next!
