BLURB:

Ruby Roberts is heading to Cedar Point to connect with the father who left her behind. Easy conversation with the handsome man sitting next to her isn’t what she’s expecting from her cross-country flight, but it’s not something she’s complaining about, that’s for sure.

Boyd Mitchell is flying home for some end-of-summer relaxation and time with his favorite people – his family. A talkative seat-mate that pulls him out of his shell is the last thing he wants, but he can’t seem to resist her charm.

When Boyd and Ruby end up in the same lakeside town, their banter and flirtation quickly become a steamy fling that leaves them both breathless. Neither of them are expecting to find a romance that has them both reconsidering everything they used to believe about love.

As their time in Cedar Point comes to an end, the two will have to decide whether they want their connection to turn into a real-world relationship, or whether wanting more is nothing but trouble

REVIEW:

I have a big soft spot for small town romances and I loved the synopsis for The Trouble with Wanting and was excited for a new to me author.

The Trouble with Wanting follows Boyd who is on his way to visiting his family in Cedar Point, he's not much of a small talker and gets seated next to a very talkative a nervous about planes Ruby. While mostly Ruby talks, Boyd becomes connected to her openness and how funny she is. And luck happens that they are both going to the same town and their families are neighbors. While visiting family they start up a friendship and together go through the ups and downs of family drama.

I adored this story, both characters were very real, very easy to connect too and I really loved how different their were in persona. Boyd was reserved and quiet, while Ruby was talkative and spoke her mind. It was a respectful innocence they both had towards each other and their connection was so wholesome. Ruby has had a tough upbringing compared to Boyds family, with an absent father, she struggles with trying to see the missing side to her family. She is brought into Boyd lovingly loud and fun family, it wakes her up to the possibility of what she could have in life.

Overall I loved this story, the romance was beautiful sweet and sexy, Boyd really works with Ruby's needs and that part of her has been missing something. He adores her for her and gets her to see that. In the end I hope the author comes back to Boyds other siblings because I loved them all and want to see more of them in future books.
