BLURB:

Trapped in his tiny mountain cabin, she didn't expect to fall for his big heart.

Exposing a prominent criminal family with an investigative news report didn’t exactly work out the way Sabrina had hoped. Instead of basking in the glory of her article’s success, she’s on the run from a powerful man who wants her dead. To stay safe, she’s forced to trade one bad situation for another. Stuck in the Montana wilderness, she’s secluded from anything resembling civilization or the modern-day world. The only good thing about her situation is the gorgeous mountain man assigned to protect her. Too bad he isn’t the slightest bit interested in a city girl like her.

Beau likes his life quiet and simple. Give him a peaceful day hiking in the woods with his dog, and he’s a happy man. He has no use for large crowds, noisy cities or dramatic women. So when a hotshot reporter rolls into town, dragging her big-time problems with her, he should have run for the hills. Instead, he volunteered to keep her safe. Bringing her into his world won’t be easy, but if he can convince her that Montana isn’t as terrifying as she believes, they might just be the perfect match.

REVIEW:

Perry does it again, I swear each book in this series gets better and better and I fall head over for the new alpha male. I didn’t think anyone could beat the soft spot I had for Silas, but Beau just became my number one with his rugged big heart.

The Outpost follows Sabrina, who was introduced at in the last book, best friend of Felicity. She is a spitfire investigative reporter who dug herself into a dangerous story that lead to the mafia coming after her. Beaten and needing a place to hide, Sabrina is offered to be taking to an Outpost in the Montana wilderness with Beau, a friend of Felicity’s husband and also someone who knows the ins and outs of the wilderness. Beau is a former hotshot turned search and rescue is not really prepared for Sabrina, they are absolute opposites but slowly they both open each other up to what neither thought they needed.

Sabrina, has always wanted to help bring in the bad guys, admiring those who have done so, she wanted to do her part, especially when this current story hit close to home. Sabrina had a tough past, with the loss of a friend and now she’s put herself in danger. Even though I felt what she did to get her story was insane, I know it came from a good place. She wanted to shut these bad guys down and sacrificed herself to stop them. I enjoyed watching her come to terms with the possibility of a new life, she started to loved the outdoors and found something in herself that she didn’t know was there. In the end Beau not only introduced her to a new way to live but helped her see her potential in herself.

Beau, oh did this mountain man steal my heart. He tried to keep his chemistry with Sabrina in check but those two had so much connection that it was no use. He has a big heart, he loves being in the wilderness, loves his job and adores all his family to pieces. Plus he has an adorable dog Boone that kinda stole the show in some parts. Beau has to leave Sabrina alone at the outpost through out the season, each time becomes harder for him to leave her. As they do have their ups and downs, he is keeps hoping that Sabrina might consider a life in Montana. But nothing is ever easy for these two and they have to overcome a lot.

Overall I loved this story so much, especially because it show opposites attract. Beau and Sabrina have become my new favorite couple, the romance was insanely off the charts and there is nothing more romantic then being off in a “cabin” setting, under the stars and a camp fire. All the past couples are back too, and it was great to see the strong friendship between Felicity and Sabrina, grow even more with Sabrina in danger and Felicity taking the next step in life. I can’t wait for the next book with Beau’s sister Maisy, she has been through so much and I want a happy ending for her.
