Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

GENRE: New Adult
THEME: Romance, Contemporary, Chick Lit
RECEIVED: Tour

BLURB:

When Bree Prescott arrives in the sleepy, lakeside town of Pelion, Maine, she hopes against hope that this is the place where she will finally find the peace she so desperately seeks. On her first day there, her life collides with Archer Hale, an isolated man who holds a secret agony of his own. A man no one else sees.

Archer's Voice is the story of a woman chained to the memory of one horrifying night and the man whose love is the key to her freedom. It is the story of a silent man who lives with an excruciating wound and the woman who helps him find his voice. It is the story of suffering, fate, and the transformative power of love.

REVIEW:

I went on a binge with any and all Mia Sheridan titles but when I got to Archers Voice I never wanted this story to end. The characters and emotional triggers that were set off just grabbed all my heartstrings. Sheridan is fantastic at hitting readers with a big tear jerking back-story, beautifully developed characters and a romance that hits all the right spots.

Archer’s Voice follows Bree Prescott who moves to a small town in Main hoping to get away from the pain of her terrible loss and horrible memories. Bree recently lost her father who was murdered in front of her and she is scarred from the man who got away. But her new small town starts to bring back the life in her along with the mysterious Archer who is also scarred from a terrible loss. Together they heal their old and deep wounds and try to find that little bit of happiness they both deserve.

Bree is as sweet as they come; she is a person who is easy to care for and a friend until the end. But the loss of her father and nightmare of everything that happened keep her from feeling normal. Her new home is a safe haven and the community of people seem to bring her slowly back to life. Bree is such a carefree person; I enjoyed watching her journey with her recovery and finding that freedom from her demons. Once Bree meets Archer and their beautiful communication through sign language begins, I fell head over heels for the couple and wished so hard for a happy ending. Bree has to deal with a lot of negativity toward her new friend Archer as well as be his teacher when it ones to social skills and the outside world. It was such a wonderful relationship to watch grow.

Archer…there are literally no words; just like the man himself, to express how much I adored him. He has been through hell and back and all his life remained a peaceful quiet person just wanting to be left alone. But what he really needed was to be shown kindness and love, everything he lost when he was a child. Bree is his light and someone who finally understand him. I adored watching his innocence and devotion to Bree, he really came into his own.

Overall I wish this story never ended, I loved living in Bree and Archers beautiful world watching them grow. Sheridan was very clever on how she unraveled Archers past, what happened to him, why is happened and how much he needed to learn to love and trust again. I can’t wait to see what romance Sheridan brings to life next.
