Ava McKenzie is a creature of habit. Life is passing her by and she has nothing to show for it. She’s had the same job since she started college, she orders the same dish every time she goes to her favorite restaurant, and only reads books from authors she knows. There is nothing new or surprising in her life… until her best friend marries a man from London. When her newlywed friend asks her to house-sit while she honeymoons, Ava jumps at the chance. She thinks this could be the very thing she needs to shake up her life. Ava throws herself head first into her new lifestyle; she wants to try everything, go everywhere, and never get stuck in a rut again. Of course, offing a man in a car garage hadn’t been one of the things on her list to try.
Owen Walker spends every day in a new place with a new case. As one of the most renowned assassins in the world, he has his choice of marks—and he’s never failed in a mission. When a new hit takes him back to his hometown, he looks forward to spending time somewhere familiar. What he isn’t expecting is to help an attractive, confused American woman find out how she’s ended up on a hit man’s list.
As Ava and Owen dodge bullets, will they be able to escape their undeniable attraction to each other? Or will all of that chemistry blow up in a shower of hot and dangerous sparks?

REVIEW:
I absolutely adored Nicole Chase’s Suddenly Royal, the humorous writing and continuous entertainment with every chapter kept me hooked. I couldn’t wait to see what Chase would come up with next and The Accidental Assassin kicked it up ten notches! I was either laughing, or crying from laughing with the extreme holy crap that just happened moments that Chase put her poor heroine in.The Accidental Assassin follows Ava McKenzie who has come to London to start a new chapter in her life. But everything turns into chaos when she accidently runs over a guy in a parking garage, then saved by a hot assassin and shot at by some crazy person chasing her. So in the end her boring life in America with the same old job doing to the old thing every day, is now running for her life, trusting a totally hot stranger, worrying about her best friend whose car now just ran over someone and not sure if she’ll survive long enough to get her visa.
Ava is one big hot mess, which is putting it lightly. She thought that house sitting and discovering the ins and outs of London would be fun, but job hunting and worrying about what’s next is constantly on her mind. Her best friend was on her honeymoon so Ava has some time left to find and job and extend her visa. But learning to drive in London isn’t easy and running a man over in a parking garage isn’t a good start. Now running for her life with a hot assassin and a target on her head isn’t what she was hoping for her London excitement. Ava is hilarious; she seriously had the worst luck ever but also the best luck in catching the eye of the smoking hot assassin Owen. I wasn’t sure whether she was accident-prone or just seriously having bad luck, but Chase knows how to make a bad situation both hilarious and holy crap dangerous at the same time. Ava is super easy to connect too, I can only imagine trying to drive on the wrong side of the road and people giving you a strange look because of an American accent. Plus how totally not fun would it be being shot at but being dragged around but a mystery man…thank goodness he’s drop dead gorgeous. In the end Ava is awesome, she grows into her own, discovering that her life is about to get a heck of a lot more interesting.
Owen is a mystery at first, a sexy and skilled assassin who’s the best of the best. But after one accident leads to saving an innocent, he’s suck in one serious problem. But his attraction to Ava has to take a back seat with the constant target on her head and the betrayal on someone close to him coming after him. Both on the run they need each other to help not only dodge bullets but to keep their heads in the game. The tension and chemistry is off the kilter with these two, I swear the more Owen smiled that smile at Ava the more I wanted to shake him to just kiss her already! Thankfully Ava’s got some major balls and knows what she wants when she wants it. Anyone who reads this will adore Owen, he’s got some serious baggage but is a good guy who does what he does for a reason.
Overall this was such an awesome start to what I’m going to assume is a series. Ava has found her calling and Owen has a lot to handle when it comes to her. The secondary characters Mavis and Kenny were freaking fantastic, the more humor the better, and these two added some quirk and spunk to the already whirlwind of chaos that was happening. I cant wait to see what this group of assassins are going to get into next!
