BLURB:
Weddings are hell…

After a month of planning not one, but two, demonic weddings, all Faith Bettincourt—the youngest Crown Princess of Hell—wants is to spend some quality time with her angelic boyfriend, Matt. But when a ghost from Matt’s past walks through Faith’s apartment door, her preoccupation with the weddings from Hell is all that’s keeping her from turning his ex, in all her devious angelic glory, into a down throw pillow.

Which is about when Matt’s zealous mother declares war on Faith’s family.

Now Faith will stop at nothing to stop the craziness and make sure the impending nuptials go off without a hitch. All she’s got to do is rescue one of the grooms and go up against an army of so-called do-gooders, and everything will go back to normal. Or as normal as it can be where the Devil's spawn is concerned. With any luck, she might just be able to resuscitate her love life while she's at it.

REVIEW:
I haven’t been flustered like I am now with Devil May Care since the Anita Blake series took an interesting turn. I loved the first book in the Speak of the Devil series, the characters are wonderful the writing was excellent and the plot was hilarious and entertaining. The second book came with vengeance and brought back everything I loved from the first, except dropping a major bomb in the romance and left me a bit annoyed with my favorite gal Faith. But this is only my opinion, everyone has their own ways of enjoying romance in books, frustrating or not.

Devil May Care follows once again the young princess of the Devil, Faith. Faith is again joined by her very colorful family of demons and the craziness that follows them everywhere. The family is getting ready for two weddings, that of Faiths mother again father and her best friend and her half brother. But among their busy lives pops in an unexpected guest, Faith’s boyfriends ex and someone who can lead his powerful and crazy mother straight to them. Then Faiths brother disappears and all hell breaks loose, literally and thus Faith tries to find him along with dealing with her boyfriend’s family on the side.

Faith has one heck of a family (no pun intended) and this time around has to deal with not only hers but her boyfriend Matt’s family too. I felt for Faith, his mother not only hates her but she’s pushing Matt’s ex at him, right in front of her. But here is where I get frustrated with Faith; she let his ex stay at her place. I didn’t get this at first, I guess keep your enemies closer is what the author was trying to go for. Plus usually when a girl says its “fine” in a sense, she means heck no. This is where Matt made a big mistake and should of continued with what he originally wanted, by having her leave. On the other hand Faith gets a lot thrown at her and I think in the end she just was done with the mess. I hope that Faith can pull her chin up, wake up and get back to her old self in the next book.

Matt is such a sweet guy and along with Faith was overwhelmed with the major family issues. I wished he would of seen what was happening with Faith and that she was struggling, he just kept pushing their conversations to later and not seeing what was right in front of him. But thank goodness for his stubbornness and I love him for that, he’s going to fight for what he wants and I’m rooting for him all the way.

Without giving anything away, the readers are going to love the family gatherings and angst. So much happens, lots of hilarious moments and of course some interesting family boding using supernatural powers. The readers will get lots of character surprises and the humor was top notch.

Overall I adore this series and my main issue was with Faiths decision at the end, I felt she was being childish and just running away and it’s a negative in my book. But no matter, I’m sticking with this series because I’m rooting for everything to turn out for the better and I just love this crazy family so much. Plus Patricia Eimer is a fantastic writer, the world and characters she has created is what has me coming back.

RECOMMENDATION:
This is an adult book with adult situations and a humor side of good and evil. Fans of Katie McAlister and Gena Showalter will enjoy Luck of the Devil.
