BLURB:
They say opposites attract. And in the case of werewolves Anna Latham and Charles Cornick, they mate. The son-and enforcer-of the leader of the North American werewolves, Charles is a dominant alpha. While Anna, an omega, has the rare ability to calm others of her kind.

Now that the werewolves have revealed themselves to humans, they can't afford any bad publicity. Infractions that could have been overlooked in the past must now be punished, and the strain of doing his father's dirty work is taking a toll on Charles.

Nevertheless, Charles and Anna are sent to Boston, when the FBI requests the pack's help on a local serial killer case. They quickly realize that not only the last two victims were werewolves-all of them were. Someone is targeting their kind. And now Anna and Charles have put themselves right in the killer's sights...

REVIEW:
I already want to read this book again, so that shows just how much I loved this book. Patricia Briggs does it again with her spin off series Alpha and Omega. Anna and her mate Charles are sent on a mission together to work with the FBI on a serial killer case. The beginning of the book started out with the introduction of this little girl who was granted one wish from a powerful fae after the loss of her puppy. How Briggs incorporated this story and the serial killer case was very clever.

Humans now know of the existence of werewolves and have to tread cautiously in how the media perceives them. Charles son of the Marrok and mate to Anna the Omega is sent to do the harsh punishments of the wolves that don’t follow the rules. But it’s starting to affect him badly and he’s pushing away from everyone including Anna. I love Charles, he’s the dominant man with his Brother Wolf half that helps guide him. I hated seeing him so sad and hurt from the ghost of those who he had to punish for something that in the past would be overlooked.

Luckily Anna is sent to work with the FBI in Boston and with her calm composure she can work with them on the tough case they are given. Charles is to be there as her protector, but Anna also wants this time away from everything else to help Charles fight his demons. I love the chemistry that these two have no matter the situation. Charles and Brother Wolf love Anna deeply and would do anything to protect her but shielding her from his pain is also hurting her.

The case was interesting and super mysterious to figure out who was behind everything. I was completely shocked to find out who it was and how it impacted the future of the supernatural in the eyes of humans.

Anna was the stronger one this time around after being taught by Charles to take care of herself. She showed a lot of strength and even stood of to the Marrok in order to help her Mate. Her determination to help Charles was highly focused on and of course they had their steamy moments. Briggs really knows how to pull the readers into her characters and make them care.

Overall great villains, who made the whole mystery solving interesting, I had no idea who was behind the killings. What the characters had to go through to find out who did it was intense and challenged both werewolves and fae. I highly recommend Fair Game and well… any novel written by Patricia Briggs because she’s an incredible writer.

RECOMMENDATION:
This is an adult novel, which has some sexual content for a mature reader. The writing of Patricia Briggs in her latest novel, Fair Game, will captivate fans of writers Jennifer Estep and Rachel Caine.
