SNR: Hello Stacey! It’s great to finally have the chance to interview you after reading two of your other fantastic books and chatting with you on Twitter. I really enjoyed A Warriors Witch, such a thrilling and smoking hot story.
SK: Thanks! I’m thrilled to be here!!
SNR: Can you tell us in your own words for those who haven’t read it yet, a bit about A Warrior’s Witch?
SK: A Warrior’s Witch is a story where many of the Otherworld characters from The Magical Sword and The Blue Bloods make an appearance. A paranormal romance that has a fast-paced mystery, even has a tormented soul, and also has some sensual moments.
SNR: A lot of your books have connections to each other, with many focusing on the Underworld, Otherworld, as well as your werewolf series that I really enjoy. What made you want to connect your books instead of having stand-alone series?
SK: It’s an addiction! I love to write in this world and can’t seem to stop. I’ve grown so attached to every character that it feels wrong not to give each and every one of them a happily ever after.
SNR: Talon and Zia have some fantastic chemistry and both masters of their specific gift they have. What did you enjoy most about writing their scenes together?
SK: One of the best things about A Warrior’s Witch was that Talon and Zia already had a solid relationship. There was no build up to their love, so I could focus away from that element, and stick to deep inner conflict. This is the first story I’ve ever done where they weren’t just meeting and had to “get together” so to speak. I found it refreshing!
SK: To be honest I had never written a BDSM story before this one, but in writing this story, a few ideas popped into my head. And that is how Forever Bound – 1Nightstand story came about. If it wasn’t for this story, I’d probably never had written that story.
The research was…um…interesting! I’ve read a couple BDSM novels before, so I knew a little about it. But not as much as I needed to. It did take some exciting reading on the internet to learn how it all worked. And I had a few conversations with my critique partner to get it all right.
SNR: What was a favorite scene or part of A Warrior’s Witch that you enjoyed the most?
SK: My all-time favorite scene is one that comes near the end of the story that involves Talon and Kyden. This chapter touched me so deeply, because I’d spent so much time with Kyden in The Magical Sword series, and seeing him with his father in such a tender moment…just sigh!!
SNR: If you could be any one of your characters in this series or another who would it be and why?
SK: Sabi! So I could spend one night, alone, in a bed with Ryker! J
SNR: What do you enjoy most about writing about paranormal romances and urban fantasies?
SK: I love it all. The magic, the world building, the danger—it’s all very addictive!
SNR: Who are some of your favorite Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy authors or series that you like to read?
SK: I’m a huge fan of Katie MacAlister and her dragon series. If you haven’t read her series—go get them right away. Her humor mixed with sexy as sin dragons makes for a good read.
SNR: Do you have anything you’re working on at the moment that you can spoil us about?
SK: n a few weeks I’ll be starting the next Tess and Kipp book. I know everyone has been waiting for that one, and trust me, I’ve been dying to write it. I’ve got the story outlined and just need to clear my to-do-list before I start! It’ll be an emotional ride as Tess and Kipp try to figure out how a ghost and a woman can be together. It’ll have a fantastic mystery and things are about to get all to tense around Tess and Kipp.
SNR: Thank you again for the interview and I can’t wait to get reading on more of your books. J
SK: Thanks for the great interview!! *hugs*
