REVIEW

This was my first introduction to London Miller and it was a fantastic one, I’ve been really digging into Mafia romances and this one was a sexy, suspenseful story that is near the top of my favorites for this genre.

Acquainted follows Vera Markovic, the Markovic name being very well known because of her father, making her a mafia “princess.” However Vera is not fond of her fathers life and wants nothing to do with that side of her family, especially him. She is an independent strong willed woman, while on a forced vacation she meets an unexpected man, Alfie. All she knows about him is that he’s their on business and they hit I off with sparks and sexiness. When Vera gets back to London, the two run into each other again and neither can really keep their distance. However Alfie knows exactly who Vera is but he cant seem to stay away from her.

I loved that while Vera wanted to be away from the Mafia life, Alfie was fully in it because of his position as being the go to guy to getting whatever a criminal needed, he would get it. He wasn’t a “good” guy to say the least but he was the perfect guy for Vera. Their romance is smoking hot, they have their ups and downs especially since Vera doesn’t know he knows who she is.

In the end of really enjoyed this book, I feel there is so much more that could be done with this couple and of course the fantastic secondary characters…cough…Lachlan…cough. Pretty please! Anywho this book had it all family drama, hot romance, a tough as nails female lead, an alpha hero who knows what he wants and crazy mafia life suspense.
