BLURB:
Stalking and restraining orders are a thing of Alayna Wither’s past. With her MBA newly in hand, she has her future figured out—move up at the nightclub she works at and stay away from any guy who might trigger her obsessive love disorder. A perfect plan.

But what Alayna didn’t figure on is Hudson Pierce, the new owner of the nightclub. He’s smart, rich, and gorgeous—the kind of guy Alayna knows to stay away from if she wants to keep her past tendencies in check. Except, Hudson’s fixed his sights on her. He wants her in his bed and makes no secret of it.

Avoiding him isn’t an option after he offers a business proposition she can’t turn down and she’s drawn further into his universe, unable to resist his gravitational pull. When she learns Hudson has a dark history of his own, she realizes too late that she’s fallen for the worst man she could possibly get involved with. Or maybe their less than ideal pasts give them an opportunity to heal each other and finally find the love their lives have been missing.

REVIEW:

Oh man! Talk about emotional roller coaster, this book had me unsure who was going to come out on top, as in who wont get hurt the most. I’ll definitely be continuing with this series as I’m rooting for both these broken but loveable characters to find some resolve in their issues.

Fixed on You follows Alayna Wither’s who has just graduated with her MBA and is ready to move up in the club she loves so dearly. But Alayna is worried about the new owner of the club as she hopes her ideas to help the business aren’t thrown aside. Little does she know she had already caught the new boss’ eye. Hudson Pierce is all business and knows how good he is when it comes to success. But he also has his demons and needs Alaynas help to fight one of them off…his mother. Together they take on the challenge of a “relationship” and deal with the consequences of fighting off their flaws to move forward to possible happiness.

Alayna is a smart cookie; she has an outgoing personality and love for bartending. But she hopes to move up in a management position with her knowledge and success at school. Even though she had a serious obsession in her past that she’s still fighting it off, I felt she was brave to try and move forward and stop herself from repeating the past. I also like how she’s not afraid to speak her mind to those who hurt her, which include Hudson’s mother and even her own brother. The most interesting relationship to me was with her brother Brian, he really just doesn’t even try to understand his sister, I was so angry with him throughout this book. I’m hoping that Hudson will open up more and show Brain how great Alayna really is. In the end Hudson is her weakness and her strength, it’s going to be one heck of a ride in the next book.

Hudson Pierce is a wealth businessman who has slipped into Alayna life unexpectedly. He offers her a deal she cant refuse and hope to help him in the process, of course trying to not get hurt in the process. He slowly opens up to her and she discovers his past isn’t one to be proud of. But she is someone who I think can help him as well as he’ll eventually help her. Their “romance” is intense and every scene together is full of passion. The readers even get to meet his family, which are all wonderful, besides his mother, I also adored his dad. I can’t wait for more Hudson!

Overall this was a great start to a fierce relationship, I looked forward to these two characters healing their wounds and having a “normal” life. The “villains” are perfect for this plot line, since they are parents, it makes you shake your head thinking of what parents can do to damage and embarrass their adult children. The writing was very character driven and had a great pace that kept me hooked in one sitting. Looking forward to the next book in the Fixed series!

RECOMMENDATION:

This is an adult novel with very mature sexual content suited for mature readers over the age of 18 and over. Fans of Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James and Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren will enjoy This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas.

AUTHOR BIO:
Laurelin Paige is the NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed Trilogy. She's a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there's kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn't seem to complain, however. When she isn't reading or writing sexy stories, she's probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine.
