Some things are worth waiting for…
Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.
Some things are worth experiencing…
Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
Some things should never be kept quiet…
But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?
And some things are worth fighting for…

REVIEW:
I’m so glad that I finally got to read another novel under Jennifer Armentrout’s pen name J. Lynn. After reading Frigid, I enjoyed the intense and sizzling romance that she created with the protagonists, so I knew what I was in for when I picked up Wait for You. This was definitely emotional, but the strong characters and excellent story telling brought to life a romance that will have the readers rooting for the leads to fall for each other.Wait for You follows Avery, a young college student who is haunted by her past. No matter the distance she has put between her hometown and parent who try to ignore what happened, Avery’s past will always be in her mind. After embarrassingly running into a fellow student named Cam, she thought her first day couldn’t get any worse. But Cam slowly starts to nudge his way into her life because he knows she not like any girl he’s met before. But Avery can’t seem to let go of what happened to her and is afraid once Cam finds out he wont look at her the same.
Avery is a character that once you get to know her story, you’ll start to root for her and appraise her strength in trying to move forward. Her story is so sad and realistic as it most likely has happened to many people. I can’t imagine what she had to go through and I felt for her more because of how her family reacted. Avery is someone who is easy to connect to, you’ll laugh, cry and cheer for her with every step she takes as she discovers herself and love.
Cam is a boy whom all the girls will want and of course he has all the experience in the world when is comes to the ladies. But when he meets Avery he is drawn to how she only wants friendship and he opens up to her and encourages her to open up as well. I adore this guy, as he seriously is a good person who had a bit of trouble in the past, but I would of done the same thing in his shoes.
Overall this was such a great story, there is a little bit for everyone, with romance, humor, emotion, growth and great secondary characters that I know J. Lynn will write more about. I can’t wait to read the next book that follows Cam’s sister, Jennifer knows how to hook her readers no matter what genre she’s writing.
RECOMMENDATION:
This is a New Adult novel that is suited for a mature audience of 18 and over. Fans of Jennifer Echols Such a Rush and Jamie McGuire’s Beautiful Disaster will want to get their hands on Wait for You by J. Lynn.View all my reviews
