REVIEW:
I thought Angelfire was a fantastic book but then I read Wings of the Wicked and this one reached a new high level of awesome. This book definitely hit my expectations and then some; Moulton really knows how to create a captivating plot and memorable characters.

Ellie and Will are once again battling Bastian and his super bad demonic reapers, but their getting bigger, meaner and harder to take down. And just when you think that could be the worst of it all, Ellie is hit with some really tough situations that hit a key emotional point in her life.

Wings of the Wicked was heavily focused on Ellie and Wills past and present relationship. I loved getting some more insight about Ellie’s past lives and showing the connection with her and Will grow stronger. Their chemistry is undeniable and the tension is always there. Will shows a lot of jealous this time around and he actually opens up a lot more, finally!

We get to meet some characters from Will’s past, both become extremely helpful to Will and Ellie’s battle with Bastian. They also add to some tension with Ellie’s friends and her relationship with Will. I actually love these two new additions and how they gave not only insight into Will’s past but brought some interesting interactions with Ellie’s best friend.

The action was intense and the bad guys were a heck of a lot scarier and tougher. Let just say I was pretty shocked with the development of the baddies this time around and Bastian is almost like a puppy compared to these guys. But my favorite bits were anything and everything with Will and Ellie, these two together sizzle and lets just say things get a little hot with them.

Overall Moulton really made me feel more emotional this time around, a lot happens that will really just break your heart but nothing can stay perfect. I felt everything happened for a reason and it’s going to make for one heck of an impact in the next book. I finished this book in one sitting, which I don’t do often especially a book of this size. The ending I pretty much held my breath the whole time, I’m not looking forward to the wait for the next book. But everything from the writing, romance, characters, action and villains kept me wanting more and more until I finished.

RECOMMENDATION:
This is a young adult book that you’ll never want to put down. Fans of Lisa Desrochers Personal Demons series and Jennifer Armentrouts Pure will be enthralled in the world that Courtney Allison Moultons created, Wings of the Wicked is a must read!
