WHEN I'M NOT WRITING

Writing is my perfect vacation from everyday life. I love it. But, when I’m not writing, I enjoy all kinds of things. Spending time with my family is of course number one, but there are loads of other things I enjoy.
One of my favorites is snowboarding. I learned to snowboard about six years ago, and it is definitely my favorite pastime. My favorite memory was from the first time I went. My friends were teaching me and I asked them how to stop. They said, “Uh, you just fall.” I definitely took that to heart the next time down the hill when I managed to pull a yard sale (my hat, iPod, goggles, etc. all over the run) and go head over board twice before coming to a stop. My friend’s first comment? “Dude, too bad we didn’t tape that!” Oh yeah, I have great friends! Haha.
I also enjoy working out, hanging with friends, and playing xBox. My brother lives in Ohio, so we will get on xBox live and play together to catch up. Yeah, I’m a nerd. My favorite games are the Call of Duty series (Hooah!), Assassin’s Creed series, and the Fable series. I love all kinds of games, though. I’m up for anything!
I’m a pretty laid back person, and I love just going to a coffee shop and hanging with friends. The best day for me when I’m not writing would be sleeping in, playing with my son, then going for coffee and hitting the slopes. That’s where you’ll find me if I’m not writing :)

BLURB:
Levi's job is to protect his human until it's their time to go. That's what a Guard does. He's done it for years on end, and he'll spend his eternity doing the same, mundane thing, following the same, mundane rules.

 ...Watch from afar.
 ...Never share your name.
...And above all, never touch a human.

What Levi doesn't know is that his newest human to protect, Hannah, just might be the catalyst to tipping the scales between good and evil, and he will be forced to decide which side he belongs to. Which friends will he side with, and who will he ultimately protect: his human, or the delicate balance that hangs on stopping the heartbeat of the person he has sworn to protect?

And, when you're already condemned, what's there to lose by breaking the rules?
