REVIEW:
I first discovered Shaedes of Gray when the cover was revealed online; I knew that this was going to be a book I would enjoy. I was even more excited when author Amanda Bonilla contacted me to be apart of her book tour! This story was everything and more that I could of asked for and who doesn’t love a kick butt storyline, with romance, action, magical elements and character that were unforgettable.

Darian is a one of a kind girl, in the literal sense. The man who made her abandoned her, making Darian believe she was the last of her kind. But she did come from a very abusive life before him and was able to start a new one. Darian is a Shaede, a being who can move through darkness and live a long life. Darian also has made a living as an assassin, getting rid of people who she feels deserve to disappear. But her already dangerous life become more dangerous when the King of the Shaede appears and needs her for a job that could answer questions about what she is. Along with her trusted friend Tyler, she steps into a world she never new existed.

Darian was a tough as nails and get the job done type of girl.  She took jobs from her friend and a man that always seems to make her heart beat faster, Tyler.  She likes to do things in her own way and really has a lot to learn about her kind and what she is capable of.  I really enjoyed her attitude and independency that made her stronger along with her flaws.

Tyler is a great guy and definitely someone who would do anything for Darian. I enjoyed his protectiveness and the interesting background behind him, plus he can kick some serious butt as well, if needed.

Xander is a whole bundle of frustration and is the main link to help Darian understand and train herself for whatever baddie is about to come. I enjoyed his character and he definitely is very full of himself and seemed to be able to annoy Darian easily.

Overall I loved this novel, it was full of great characters and a seriously entertaining plot that I wished it never ended.  Amanda Bonilla wrote an unforgettable new series and I can’t wait for the sequel. I highly recommend this novel.

RECOMMENDATION:
