BLURB:
After cheating death twice in one night, confessing her true nature to her werewolf soul mates and being asked to kill one of her closest friends, Secret took a much-needed vacation. By running away.

Now she’s back in town—dragged kicking and screaming—determined to clear Holden Chancery’s name. Right after she finds out what he’s accused of. It shouldn’t be hard—Holden has a habit of using their new and scintillating psychic bond to break into her thoughts and dreams at some very, shall we say, awkward moments.

Just a few things stand in her way: a secretive Tribunal leader, a group of would-be vampire slayers and two werewolf boyfriends who refuse to let her operate in her customary lone-wolf style. Even less amusing are the terrifying creatures that someone is using in an attempt to gain control of the council. Even for this out-of-the-ordinary bounty hunter, it’s a challenge with potentially deadly teeth.

Warning: Contains an ever-plucky heroine with no shortage of weapons, super-hot mind games, an ever-complicated love triangle and one hell of a creepy amusement park.
REVIEW:
A Bloody Good Secret is the second novel in the Secret McQueen Series. I seriously can’t get enough of this series or its characters, I absolutely loved the first book and novelette, Sierra Dean really knows how to suck you into her story and make a girl fan herself with all the men who make girls swoon.

Secret McQueen has just been assigned her last kill…But she wasn’t prepared for who her target it. The man who’s been her friend and warden since she was young, Holden. She can’t imagine having to kill her long time friend, nor can she deal with the fact that them two men in her life now know her secret that she’s not only wolf but a vampire as well. So what does she do? She runs and try to get her mind straight but it’s not long till she have to face the men she loves and the friend she’ll have no choice but to kill.

Secret is someone I would absolutely be friends with, she’s kick butt, snarky, and wouldn’t turn her back on a friend. But most of all she is someone Id want to have by my side in a fight. I wouldn’t know what to do in her situation so as the reader I really felt horrible with the emotional situation she was stuck with. Plus she has to deal with two werewolves both the king of the local pack and he second in command whom she both shares a soul bond with.

Desmond and Lucas are back of course and loveable in their own ways as ever.  These werewolves are downright drool worthy and both very protective of secret. I love their devotion to her and each other as friends. Both men are extremely different and that’s what makes it hard to wish either of them to be with Secret more. And we also get to meet another family member in the wolf pack. Overall I hope she gets to keep them both in the end, even if it’s a little selfish, I just want them happy.

Holden, the warden and good friend of Secret was a load of smoking hot frustration. He didn’t make it easy for Secret to concentrate of figuring out why she was assigned to kill him.  I loved him in the prequel and even more so in this book.

Overall, I couldn’t ask for a better second installment, it had everything I love about paranormal romances without being cheesy. I love snarky character, with action, romance, and the twist that leave you asking “What?” The ending was almost hilarious to me, Dean just knows how to surprise her readers and makes them beg for more.

RECOMMENDATION:
This is an adult novel with sexual content and a bit of violence. Fans of Jennifer Estep’s Elemental Assassin series and Chloe Neill’s Chicagoland Vampire series will love this!
