Baring It All
Generations of werewolves have been secretly residing in a secluded valley a stone’s throw from Grundy, Alaska. So when a snooping Outsider comes to Grundy to investigate rumors of lycanthropic shenanigans in the area, the valley’s pack alpha, Maggie Graham, resolves to chase him away, even if doing so takes a quick bite on the butt. What a pity that researcher Nick Thatcher turns out to be so drool-worthy, and that his kisses make Maggie want to sit up and beg. Maggie just can’t seem to convince Nick to leave . . . and even worse, she can’t convince herself to stay away fromhim. Cross-species dating is problem enough for a harried alpha female, but on top of that, a rival group of werewolves is trying to move into the valley. With interpack war threatening, Maggie can’t afford to be distracted. Combining romance and a career can be tough for anyone; for a werewolf in love with a human, it may be disastrous. . . .
REVIEW:
After reading How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper I was ecstatic to learn about The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf would be coming out shortly after. From her Vampires to her Werewolves Molly Harper pulls together wonderful stories of humor, mystery and romance.
The second book in her werewolf series continues right where the first left off. This time around we get to learn more about Coopers sister Maggie. Cooper in the first book is a werewolf as well as his family and pack members. Maggie is a snarky, tough, and down right stubborn alpha of her pack that she runs, while Cooper lives with his wife and baby in a town near by. Everyone from the first book is back again and as fun as ever in this second installment.
There is some strange business happening around Maggie’s pack that seems suspicious. But worst of all is Nick, who is snooping around trying to find answers about the real existence of werewolves. Maggie will do anything to get him away from her pack and out of town. But he’s not so easy to scare nor can she deny the attraction she has for him.
I love the humor that always comes with Harpers books, I’m always cracking up and smiling at the ridiculously funny situation her characters are always in. I have to say there is a part in the book where I was actually crying laughing because of a situation dealing with butts, and yes I mean a butt on a person. The mystery was great this time around too; I really had no clue what and who was causing all the problems for Maggie and was shocked when it was all revealed.
Overall I love this series and I’m really hoping for a third because I can’t get enough of these great characters.
RECOMMENDATION:
This is an adult novel with sexual content that might not be suitable for younger readers. Fans of authors Katie MacAlister and Lynsay Sands will love this series.
