{Musing Mondays} When do you start thinking about what to read next?

Musing Mondays hosted by Should be Reading.
How far along are you in your current read before you start thinking about what you'll read next?

For me I have a check list of what I'm reviewing for the month, I know what needs to be read and I usually pick a date or goal to finish each book by. Sometimes I'll fit a book into my list that is a "fav read" which means its a book a can read anytime and I'm in no hurry to review it. I try to read what I want to read at least twice a month without an obligation, I have my series that I can't live without and will have those on my shelf waiting and calling my name.

What about you? When do you start thinking about what to read next?

  1. I actually wait until I finish what I'm currently reading. The great thing about books is that you never know how they will end. Depending on how I feel when I finish, I might want to read a different genre or lighter/heavier read when I'm done.

  2. This year I'm doing a word file with all the months written down and books added to each one. I'm doing 2 reading challenges and I participate in 2 book clubs that are by month, so each month has at least 4 books to read. :)

I did really well in January. I read 8 books, which is way more than I've read in a long time!
