BLURB:
What happens when you are stalked by Death? You fall in
love with him of course. Pagan Moore doesn’t cheat Death, instead, she falls in love with him.

Seventeen year old Pagan Moore, has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn’t let them know she could see them, they left her alone. Until she steps out of her car on the first day of school and sees an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he's dead. Not only does he not go away, when she ignores him he does something none of the others have ever done; he speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What Pagan doesn’t realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul. He is Death and he is about to break all the rules.

REVIEW:
Existence is a must read! I really enjoyed the storyline and the unquie romance that Abbi Glines creates with a paranormal touch. Not only did the cover catch my eye but the story line of having death fall in love with you, can you imagine dealing with that?

Pagan Moore has been dealt with seeing wandering souls her whole life, pretty much to the point where it doesn’t faze her at all. Until one day she sees a “soul” whom she can’t ignore, he not only talks to her but also can’t seem to leave her alone. What she doesn’t know is this mysterious boy aka Dank isn’t a soul but something darker…Death himself.

Pagan was a great character; she’s really what I would call an emotionally driven character. She falls head over heels for a jock named Leif whom she thought he was the typical quarterback but his personality really surprised her. But that was until Dank came into her life, this mysterious boy who seems to have brought a lot of problems for her along with him. I loved the chemistry between Dank and Pagan, it was hard at some points because they want to be together so bad, but can’t for many obvious reasons.

There are some points where I was a bit confused in the plot line with Dank’s personality when he became a student at Pagan’s school, also with some more questioning parts that didn’t seem to be answered later on in the story. As well as not being of fan of the named Dank… it didn’t really feel right for his character. Even so I feel that Existence was a story really based on true love and fighting the fact that death shouldn’t love.

Overall very unique and intriguing plot with memorable characters and the ending was a real kicker.  If your looking for a young adult paranormal novel with twists turns and the whole shebang of shockers and fun characters, this is your book!

RECOMMENDATION:
This is a young adult novel that would be perfect for fans of Mary Lindsey’s Shattered Souls and Gretchen McNeil’s Possess novels, get your hands on Existence!
