Q. If you could change the ending of any book or series, which book would you choose? why and to what?
A. I seriously can't think of one right now, most of the books I have read are series and haven't ended yet lol. I just read Love Story by Jennifer Echols, which I loved but I felt the ending left me hanging a bit. I wanted more, I needed more. I want to know what happens next? I don't really want to spoiler anything for those who haven't read it yet. But I will say I would change it to be longer continue with the character at least for a couple more pages and see what happens next for the leads after everything is resolved.
Q. In What are you most looking forward to this fall/season? A particular book? Halloween? Cooler temps? A Vacation?
A. Halloween is my favorite holiday and season, I always watch Nightmare Before Christmas and the weather gets amazingly cooler, plus who doesn't love all the TV shows about ghost and scary stories that come on just for the Fall season :)
Hi there, just hopping through. I like Jennifer Echols, but haven't read that particular book. I hate incomplete endings though.

Have a nice weekend :)
I hate being left hanging. If its a series I don't mind if there are questions about the larger series plots left in mid air but I should at least feel like closed the book with some resolution and a path forward.

Being the maverick that I am, I penciled in my own addition to this week’s Follow Friday question and then answered it.
ReplyDeleteChange the ending of a book? No way, no how.
From the perspective of a reader – it never even dawned on me. As a writer I find the notion sacrilegious.
Wait! I can explain! Follow me back to my blog for all the verbosity – http://www.howardsherman.net

Excellent point on all of the scary movies that will be airing soon! Something for me to look forward to as well!
ReplyDeleteInteresting point about the series! My favorite series - like Kate Daniels or the Elemental Assassin books - tend to have very strong endings for each book, while carrying plots through to connect the stories. Books that are linked by cliffhangers drive me nuts. :) Anyway, I'm rambling...
ReplyDeleteHappy FF!
Hopping by to say hi --- I like your blog header! Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love Nightmare Before Christmas -- I even have a lunchbox (yes, I am a geek- but it keeps people at work from touching my lunch). :)
