BLURB:
Luc Cain was born and raised in Hell, but he isn’t feeling as demonic as usual lately—thanks to Frannie Cavanaugh and the unique power she never realized she had. But you can’t desert Hell without consequences, and suddenly Frannie and Luc find themselves targeted by the same demons who used to be Luc’s allies.

Left with few options, Frannie and Luc accept the protection of Heaven and one of its most powerful angels, Gabe. Unfortunately, Luc isn’t the only one affected by Frannie, and it isn’t long before Gabe realizes that being around her is too…tempting. Rather than risk losing his wings, he leaves Frannie and Luc under the protection of her recently-acquired guardian angel.
Which would be fine, but Gabe is barely out the door before an assortment of demons appears—and they’re not leaving without dragging Luc back to Hell with them. Hell won’t give up and Heaven won’t give in. Frannie’s guardian exercises all the power he has to keep them away, but the demons are willing to hurt anyone close to Frannie in order to get what they want. It will take everything she has and then some to stay out of Hell’s grasp.
And not everyone will get out of it alive.

REVIEW:

Original Sin starts off right were Personal Demons left off. Everything is changing for Frannie and her life is going to get really complicated…especially when The Lucifer wants her.

I have to say I have a lot of mixed emotions about Original Sin, but not bad just frustrated with some characters and their decisions.  Which only means I was getting attached and feeling what the characters are feeling, just shows how fantastic Desrochers writing is. She really knows how to make you feel for her characters with her words.

Frannie is still learning about her power of Sway, she can use it easily with both Gabe and Luc; it’s frustrating her and making her feel useless. Frannie, is tough, independent and really cares for everyone. But she made me want to pull out my hair sometimes with her decisions. So many people are trying to protect her but she just keeps on throwing herself in the fire. I understand why she does all this, her love for everyone is so deep that she feels she always needs to be there for them.

Matt, Frannies twin brother who passed away, was a great addition. He’s her guardian angel and a snarky young guy. I was pretty shocked with where the story went with him but I loved the twist.  I wont say anymore on that ☺

Luc and Gabe oh how I love these boys, I feel for them both and I wish I could split Frannie in half so each could have someone. I’m not a fan of love triangles cause I know only one is going to be happy, but they are amazing! Gabe is his charming protective Angelic self and Luc is learning how it is to be human, but still has his hot dark attitude.

Original Sin had everything I love about paranormal stories, romance, angst, awesome powers, and a story that pulls your heart in five different ways.  Personal Demons introduces you to Desrochers character but Original Sin pulls you into their lives and makes you feel as your living their lives with them.  I highly recommend this story and enjoy the ride as much as I did.

RECOMMENDATION:

This is a Young Adult Novel with minor adult situations. Fan of Lauren Kate’s Fallen Series and Andrea Cremer’s Nightshade series will love this book.
