Question of the week: Crazy-For-Books
Q. "If you fin a book you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author?"
Yes, Always because normally their other books are just as awesome as the one I loved. For example my first book I read of Gena Showalter was her Alien Huntress Series Awaken me darkly. I just tried it out cause it sounded interesting, it was I think 08 when I discovered it. I loved it and tracked down all her other books and found her YA of her Alien huntress series that came out in 07. After that I awaited all her new releases.
Question of the week: Bitten by Paranormal RomanceQ. What Attracts you to a book the most? The Cover, blurb or something else?
I would have to say the cover only because I'm going based off my graphic designer instincts, I just can't help it. But I do look at blurbs to some books even if the cover isn't all that great. I have found some amazing books with horrible covers...makes me want to re-design for the author. But the covers out there right now are just awesome!

ReplyDeleteI always look for the author's name, if I'm in love with them I'll buy their books regardless. If I dont know them it would be a mix of the cover and blurb that lures me in.

Old follower, hopping through. Covers are pretty important. I know the whole "don't judge a book by its cover" thing is important.. but when you're in a book store, surrounded by tons of books, a good cover is super important to get readers interested.
