Angelfire was brilliant! I haven’t read a YA book in a while and oh how much I missed them! Courtney A. Moulton did a fantastic job with creating such intriguing characters and a wonderful storyline. I literally devoured this book in a day becasue I needed to know what happened!
Angelfire is a story about a young girl in her last year of high school, living in a society of the rich and richer. Her mother and father are very well off and she has the best of friends, but things start to change all around her on her birthday. A boy appears to her and brings memories of a past she never knew she had and that’s not even the beginning. The boys name is Will he is what you would call Ellies Guardian, her protector and he will do anything to keep her safe. Ellie is a warrior who has been reincarnated for many centuries to battle Reapers. Reapers, they are dark who will do anything to stop her from destroying them. Little does Ellie know she possesses the power of Angelfire, which destroy these creatures and keep the people around her safe. A dark reaper name Bastian will do anything to kill her and bring the end of days to the world.
What I loved:
Will - He was such a difficult guy, trying to get answers from him made me frustrated along with Ellie, which was perfect because that meant I really connected with the characters. He has many secrets that he doesn’t tell Ellie because he wants her to remember on her own, but his personality and they way he was so devoted to her made me love him.
Ellie: If I were in her position I would probably act the same. She was freaked at the beginning and tried to deny any and all that happened around her that was not normal. She wanted to be normal, but in the end that wasn’t they way things were suppose to work out. She’s strong, but has her vulnerable side, caring for her friends, and is willing to fight to protect everyone.

Plot: I don’t want to say anymore than I have because I highly recommend everyone to read this book, Its so well written and the way you get pulled into this world is just brilliant. It’s dark, funny, realistic with teen issues, and action packed!
