BLURB:
New Hampshire high school junior Lizzie Davenport has been reincarnated from Regency Era, England ... but she doesn't know it yet.

Then Drew Carmichael transfers into Lizzie's school at the beginning of the year, and she feels a connection to him, almost like she knows him. She can't stop thinking about him, but whenever she tries talking with him about the mysteries behind her feelings, he makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with her. Reaching him is even more difficult because she has a boyfriend, Jeremy, who has started to become full of himself after being elected co-captain of the varsity soccer team, and her flirtatious best friend Chelsea starts dating Drew soon after his arrival. So why can't she seem to get him out of her mind?

Even though Lizzie knows she should let go of her fascination with Drew, the pair of them soon find that fighting fate isn't going to be easy.

REVIEW:
I’ve always had a soft spot for stories of destined love and the classic tales of Jane Austen. Even more so the story Pride and Prejudice; who doesn’t love the romance of Elizabeth and Darcy. Remembrance is a novel that gives the same essence of romance, betrayal, and the challenge of the making the right choice for happiness.

Lizzie has the normal teenage life, the best friend in the world, the perfect star jock of a boyfriend, but ever since the first day she saw Drew,  she feel drawn to him. Lizzie starts to feel the distance between her and her long time boyfriend Jeremy, there is no spark and his ignorance of how he choose others before her is not helping their situation. Then when her best friend starts dating Drew, Lizzie feelings start to stir and she can’t help her connection to this mysterious guy. Drew doesn’t make it easier with his on and off personality, but there is something between them something familiar.

Lizzie is a lovable character, she has a lot of challenges that she goes through but manages to stay strong and not back down on how she feels.  I liked her relationship with her friends and how she grows to stand up for herself eventually. The high school life that Michelle Madow describes was almost to the tee accurate to how my high school life was like. There was a glimpse of how her relationship is with her mom that I wish could have been talked about a little more.

Drew was an interesting and mysterious character that frustrated me with his actions. His family too was mentioned a little bit like Lizzies and I would like to know a little bit more about their parents and relationship, especially with some of the history that was discussed.  I have to say I absolutely love his house, I don’t want to give too much away but  the details Madow used to describe it sounds so beautiful and romantic.

Overall Remembrance was beautifully thought out and written, I read this novel in one sitting because I just needed to know what was going to happen. There are so many elements of the regency era that Madow’s created that just sucked me into the story. The way the novel pans out is so exciting and it definitely stole my heart. I look forward to more of Michelle Madow’s novels.

RECOMMENDATION:
This is a young adult book with a beautiful and mysterious story that captivates the heart. Fans of Cara Lynn Shultz Spellbound will enjoy Remembrance and be enchanted by this story as well.
