A need colder than Siberian winter meets an attitude hotter than the Florida sun in #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole’s sultry new Game Maker novel.

Everyone fears the Master…

Rich, irresistible politician/Mafiya boss Maksimilian Sevastyan prefers tall, obedient blondes to fulfill his…complicated desires. That is, until the icy Russian encounters a disobedient brunette whose exquisite little body threatens his legendary restraint.

Except her.

Catarina Marín was a well-off young wife until her world fell apart. Now she’s hiding out, forced to start working as an escort in Miami. Her very first client is beyond gorgeous, but when he tells her what he plans to do to her, Cat almost walks out of the door.

If pleasure is a game, play to win.

After their mind-blowing encounter burns out of control, the lovers crave more. If they escape the deadly threats surrounding them, can Maksim overcome his past—to offer Cat his future? Only then will she tempt him with what he really wants: her, all tied up with a bow.

REVIEW:

After The Professional I was dying to know more about the Sevastyan brothers, Makismilian caught my eye as being more playful and adventurous compared to his older brother. Once again Cole creates a hot romance with a ton of suspense, humor and color characters that made this my favorite book so far this year.

The Master follows Catarina Marin, who is on the run from her terrible husband. Now in Miami she is going toward her goal of finishing school, cleaning houses to make ends meat, all the while staying hidden as much as she can. But it seems her husband is getting close so she need to make some money to skip town again. Cat agrees to step in as an escort since her friend asks her to take her place. She was not prepared for the tall dark and mystery Maksim who blows her mind with pleasure and doesn’t seem to want to let her go.

Cat is quirky and cautious, for a woman on the run she sets her rules and never breaks them. That is until she meets Maksim who after a major misunderstanding ends up owning Cat. Cat is a sweet woman, who chose a man that was all wrong from the beginning, she knows if he finds her she’ll end up dead. When she meets Maksim she cant explain their connection, but the passion is unbelievable. There is something charming and dangerous about this man that she cant get out of her mind. Their bond is very sexual but they both start to realize that they are feeling more than lust. Cat doesn’t want to tell Maksim about who she is and her past, all the while he is trying to find out what she’s hiding. The tension is insane and I wanted to scream at Cat for not telling him, but in the end get why she didn’t.

Maksim is the middle brother of the Sevastyan’s and the one who delves in both politics and the mafiya. He has money but what he doesn’t have is that spark that his brother found in his fiancé. That is until Cat, who lights up a fire, challenges him, intrigues him, and he just cant seem to get enough of her. Maksim and his brothers have all gone through a lot of trauma from their upbringings. Maksim feeling like he was unable to protect his younger brother is something that is on his mind constantly. I adored this big guy, he like his older brother is always ready to charge into a fight, he temper gets him in trouble but inside he’s a big old softy.

Overall I loved this a bit more than the first one, mostly for Maksim because he just had a more energetic persona. Cat was funny and so sweet, even though she was dealt with a heavy blow she liked cooking for people and seeing people happy. The suspense was the major factor that kept me holding my breath, I never knew if or when he husband may pop out of nowhere and try to hurt her. The romance of course was smoking hot, passionate and “oh my goodness did he just do that”! The bonus was seeing how the first couple was doing in their lives now that they finally have time to relax. I love when
