BLURB:

Former overachiever Lucy WillIams sucks at adulting.
Recent divorce, check.
Pending lawsuit, check.
A move back to Boston to live with her mother, triple check.
It can't get much worse, right?

When she starts her new marketing job at EXtreme Effects, she's positive shit’s stopped hitting the fan. Sure, what she's advertising is a little ... unorthodox, but it pays the bills. And since she's seconds away from becoming Lucy Williams: Wednesday Night Bingo Enthusiast, she needs money to get the hell out of her mother’s house.

The only problem is her boss, Mr. Extreme himself: Jace Exley. He’s everything any sane woman dreams of—alpha, successful, ridiculously gorgeous. He's also Lucy’s worst nightmare. Because like every overachiever, she has that underachiever she brushed off. The slacker who, once upon a time ago, was the object of her dirtiest schoolgirl fantasies.

Jace Exley—with his sarcastic smirk and delicious accent—just happens to be that guy.

And the friction between them?

Well, that's the only adulting Lucy seems to be winning at

REVIEW:

Where has this author been in my romance addition? Ha! I have officially added Emily Snow to my favorite romance author list, Friction got my out of my funk of reading same old same old and giving me a kick back into reading again.

Friction follows Lucy Williams who has hit an all time low in her life. With an extremely great career down the drain because of her ex, as well as finalizing her divorce, as well as a lawsuit, she is in a real down world spiral. That is of course until she lands a job doing what she does best, marketing! However not only does she except a job with a company that she realizes is WAY different than she expected, but her new boss is a guy from high school whom she clashed with, but of course now he’s hotter than ever.

What I loved most about this story was the humor, shock of what the company actually does, and the tension between Lucy and Jace, these two cracked me up. Lucy is all high society sophisticated and Jace is lumberjack alpha male with no real filter. A seriously combustible BUT fantastic combination, with the two.

There is a lot of back-story between both character, especially their high school story which is what caused them both to have such tension working together. Now I know a lot of people may have issues with Lucy’s character, as she is very pompous and uppity, but she redeems herself later on. Jace on the other hand is going to make every one that reads this book fall head over heels, with his snark, sexy comebacks, alpha moments and just overall sexy self. I adored the guy.

Overall this was a great book, lots of humor and fun moments, great surprises and lots of ups and downs for both characters to build on.
