Is it possible to expose Chicago’s hottest player—without getting played?

This is the story I've been waiting for all my life, and its name is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Don’t be fooled by that last name though. There’s nothing holy about the man except the hell his parties raise. The hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, he’s a man’s man with too much money to spend and too many women vying for his attention.

Mysterious. Privileged. Legendary. His entire life he’s been surrounded by the press as they dig for tidbits to see if his fairytale life is for real or all mirrors and social media lies. Since he hit the scene, his secrets have been his and his alone to keep. And that’s where I come in.

Assigned to investigate Saint and reveal his elusive personality, I’m determined to make him the story that will change my career.

But I never imagined he would change my life. Bit by bit, I start to wonder if I'm the one discovering him...or if he's uncovering me.

What happens when the man they call Saint, makes you want to sin?

REVIEW:

What can I say… but this story wrecked me… but in a good way. I remember the first time I watched the movie Never Been Kissed, I was so worried about the main character being discovered and the ending when she confessed all but crushed me because I felt so much for her. Just like that movie Evans created Rachel who reminded me so much of the Never Been Kissed character and I knew that this girl was putting herself in a sticky situation with the playboy heartthrob. Evans I applaud you once again for hitting all my emotions and totally making me root for the underdog.

Manwhore follows Rachel Livingston a young writer for a small magazine called Edge. Sadly she knows her magazine company is not fairing so well against the world of bloggers and social media, so they need a story and a good one. Rachel is tasked with digging deep in the life of playboy millionaire Malcolm Saint. Shel cant wait for her big chance to show her boss that she can write an awesome story. But when Rachel discovers Saint isn’t exactly what she’s read about, she is stuck between being faithful to her career or listening to her heart.

Rachel is a sweet and very dedicated writer; she has always loved it and wants the best career in writing. She has the support of her loving but ill mother and her two besties Wynn and Gina. They always have her back in her career but are a bit concerned about how deep she gets in with Saint. I liked Rachel because she was “real” she told Saint from the beginning that she didn’t want him like he wanted her, but he’s a determined guy. I knew when Saint started opening up to her and not acting as much like a “manwhore” as he’s been painted out to be that Rachel was in serious trouble. Was she going to fall for the guy and risk her career, or was she going to out the so-called playboy? But I also know what is feels like when you are torn between love and a career, what do you choose and if someone can get hurt is it worth it to come out with the truth?

Malcolm Saint is no actual saint, he is an alpha male with a ton of power and money. Since he was young he’s been in the spotlight and has even established himself outside of his fathers company. He meets Rachel who is determined to interview him about his new social media site that is becoming a huge success. I enjoyed seeing a man like Saint be confused and intrigued by a women who really wanted nothing to do with him at the beginning. Yes, it was like a challenge for him but Rachel opened up something in him that showed he wasn’t a manwhore. However he does have some bad influences like his friends Tahoe and Callan who are constantly partying. I’m curious to see how he handles everything after the fact of what happens in the end.

Overall I loved the intimate tone of this whole story, the desirable man meeting a desirable woman but cant quite grasp her. The romance was hot and heavy, but it started out slow and kept building and building until, like Rachel, it had to give in to Saint eventually. My only sadness was that this is no standalone, even though I’m glad their story isnt over the end had me gasping and squeezing the life out of my book. I have so many questions, concerns and I’m rooting so much for my girl Rachel. I need my HEA and I hope I get it but I know there is going to be one heck of a journey in the next book.
