BLURB:
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Wait for You and Be with Me comes a daring tale that pushes boundaries . . .

At 21, Calla hasn't done a lot of things. She’s never been kissed, never seen the ocean, never gone to an amusement park. But growing up, she witnessed some things no child ever should. She still carries the physical and emotional scars of living with a strung-out mother, Mona—secrets she keeps from everyone, including her close circle of college friends.

But the safe cocoon Calla has carefully built is shattered when she discovers her mom has stolen her college money and run up a huge credit card debt in her name. Now, Calla has to go back to the small town she thought she’d left behind and clean up her mom’s mess again. Of course, when she arrives at her mother’s bar, Mona is nowhere to be found. Instead, six feet of hotness named Jackson James is pouring drinks and keeping the place humming.

Sexy and intense, Jax is in Calla’s business from the moment they meet, giving her a job and helping her search for Mona. And the way he looks at her makes it clear he wants to get horizontal . . . and maybe something more. Before Calla can let him get close, though, she’s got to deal with the pain of the past—and some very bad guys out to mess her up if she doesn't give them her mom.

REVIEW:

Have you ever finished a book and just sat there in silence…well screaming in your head that what you just was so freaking fantastic! So… I just totally did that… Yah totally not lying here and I’m not ashamed because this was such a great third book in an already awesome series. Every time I read a new Lynn aka Armentrout title I’m a mess with excitement and seriously adore this series.

Stay With Me I felt was the most emotional and craziest rollercoaster ride of the batch. This story follows Calla who is BFFs with the sweet as heck Theresa from the previous book. Calla is about the start her summer school classes when she realizes her bank account has been wiped clean, meaning only one thing. Her past has caught up to her and now she needs to go home and see what mess her mothers in. Her friends don’t know about her past, the secrets of her scars are from a tragedy that still haunts her. But when she comes home to find her mother is in serious trouble and now the bad guys want Calla to find her missing mother or pay. Luckily her sweet Uncle and the hotter then heck bartender Jax are by her side and making sure her mothers problems don’t get thrown at her. But Calla has no idea how dangerous it is just coming back home.

Calla is probably one of the coolest most outspoken of the girls; I adore her bravery and serious determination to not become her mother. She is studying to be a nurse for a personal reason; after a tragedy left her scarred she felt a connection to the nurses who helped her. Calla is someone who has shielded herself too long and does not understand the beauty she has within herself, as well as the outside. She grew up in a rough environment and lost so much, I wanted to hug this poor girl every minute. Luckily she has her protective uncle Clyde and sweet and sexy Jax who both work at her mothers bar to help her. She can’t go back to school until she can save money to pay for what’s been lost, so she decides works at the bar for the summer. I loved how everyone in town just connected to Calla, her persona won everyone over and they knew she was good person compared to her mother.

Jax is one heck of a charmer and a deep down good guy, as well as a former marine. As a marines wife myself I may be a little biased because I applaud the men a woman who risk their lives for our safety. And Jax is someone who has fought for his country and saved lives as well as friends. He also is a very protective fella and is immediately drawn to Calla. He sees her beauty and has to drill it in her head that the scars don’t matter to him. He does have some history and the women in town sure do love him, but someone like Jax knows when he finds something good. He makes mistakes and will frustrate the heck out of readers every so often, but he’s adorable and so good with Calle. Can I just say, the romance is so freaking hot!

Overall this whole series so far is a must read, but Calla’s story is my number one now. Avery, Cam, Jace, and Theresa are all back but it’s the town folks that I adored with Calla. We meet a crazy stripper who cracked me up named Katie, Roxy the cute Supernatural fan, Reese the sweet cop and Uncle Clyde the coolest uncle ever! The readers will love and connect to everyone one of them and I hope to see them all again in future books. In the end this story just made a mess out of me, I cried, screamed, fanned myself and did a little happy dance once it was all over. I can’t wait to see what next for this series, it’s a must read for anyone.

RECOMMENDATION:

This is a New Adult novel that is suited for a mature audience of 18 and over. Fans of Jennifer Echols Such a Rush and Jamie McGuire’s Beautiful Disaster will want to get their hands on Stay with Me by J. Lynn.
