Follow Friday {67} Do you DNF or do you power through?

Question this week from Parajunkee and Allison Can Read.
How does this work? You follow a blog, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

Q: How do you handle a book you don’t like? Do you DNF or do you power through?

I'm not one to give up too easily, If been really lucky with the titles I have read where I have enjoyed them all the way through. I do remember a couple that I kept on trucking along and eventually had to move on, if I can connect to characters, the plot is confusing or I just ain't loving it overall I will most likely add it to the very small DNF pile.

What about you?

  1. My pile of DNF is very very small too. I think there are only 3 on it. Usually I can get through a book. I love your blog banner!

  2. Lucky you. My DNF pile is growing. :( I always feel guilty when I DNF a book like I'm giving up a pet because it just didn't work out...but I try. I really try!

  4. I try my hardest not to DNF and generally if I'm reading something it'll have at least one or two things to redeem it. I've gotten more careful in what I choose to read! :) But sometimes I just have to in regards to time management. Following on Bloglovin, Facebook and Twitter.

  5. I try not to DNF books, but sometimes a book is so bad that I just can't do it. Like Entangled by Nikki Bradford I think was her name - it was so awful, I had to stop.

    Happy Friday!

  6. I always power through books in case I'm missing something by not finishing. I'm an old GFC follower.

  7. Usually I will give a book 50-100 pages before I DNF if I'm not enjoying it. I used to power through but I no longer have the time and it turned reading into a chore. There are too many books on my tbr pile for me to feel guilty and I'm picky about what I read, so only have 1 DNF so far!

  8. I hate to not finish a book. It does happen occasionally though. I always give it my best effort before giving up.
