BLURB:
Justice is blind. Justine isn’t. Book two in the Saturn's Daughter series, in which Tina Clancy is gifted with the power to dispense justice...for good or evil.

Tina Clancy is adapting to her new life as one of Saturn’s Daughters while living in the toxic part of Baltimore known as The Zone, and occasionally acting as a champion of the downtrodden, the weird, the innocent...and the sometimes not-so-innocent.

Just when she finally lands a real law job, the Zone is blasted by poisonous gas and her sometimes-boyfriend starts receiving visitors from Hell. He’s none too pleased about that, or in Tina having sent his granny to Hell in his place. For that matter, neither is granny….

REVIEW:

Stepping back into the chaos and insaneness that is the Zone, Quaid has officially hooked me into the Satan’s Daughter series with this second installment. I was laughing, gasping, and asking, “did that just happen?” throughout the entire book. I adore this quirky series and its lovable and crazy characters.

Damn Him to Hell follows Tina Clancy, who has not only just received her law degree but still grasping the idea of her abilities as Saturn’s daughter. Living in the Zone means that life is never simple or normal, so when a crazy pink and sparkling gas starts barreling through the Zone, Clancy knows something just isn’t right. Thus creating chaos and people falling into comas, meaning Clancy, Andre and crew have to get to the bottom of it before its too late.

Tina Clancy aka Justy is still getting use to life in the Zone, while also trying to deal with her abilities as a Saturn’s daughter, which she is learning that their may be consequences. But at the moment she is just trying to keep the people in the Zone safe from ACME. ACME the plant in town, has released a gas that is making people violent and putting them into comas. I love this girl, she may not always think before acting but she does it in a way that always makes me laugh. Such as turning people into frogs, which I felt was nicer than the alternative she could of done. She has to deal with a lot of bad guys trying to hurt her and her friends, plus find a way to save the people who ACME has hurt. All the while dealing with her ex who is now in the body of his cousin the senator, as well as her former boss Andre who always seems to have a weapon in hand. Clancy has taken on a lot of responsibility and kicks some major butt. I’m so curious about her abilities, what it means to be Saturn’s daughter, and how many daughters there are out there. The readers will be pleased to know that there are clues and I can’t wait to learn more.

Andre is the man! I love this guy; he is a kick butt, gun toting, ranging bull and always protecting the people of the zone. The readers get some major history on him, finding out why he is the way he is, more about his parents and that he sparks a little fire in Clancy. The best part of this series for me besides the exciting plots is the banter and chemistry of Andre and Clancy, she knows how to hit the wrong buttons but they are always there for each other. I was happy for some great moments between these two, but Quaid is killing me with the teasing moments.

Overall this story is one heck of an adventure. Can you imagine living in a small part of a city that is full of people affected by a plant that does bad experiments? This series may focus on a few key characters but as I said about the first book, the Zone itself is its own character, it creates the chaos, the usual side effects of its towns people, but they all can coexists together. The enemy is ACME and the people who run it, I’m super curious with the ending what will happen next and how will everything change? This is defiantly one of my favorite Urban Fantasy series and the memorable character will keep me coming back.

RECOMMENDATION:

This is an adult novel, fans of both paranormal romance and urban fantasy wont want to miss out on this series. If you enjoyed Amanda Bonilla’s Shaede Assassin series and Christina Henry’s Black Wings series you’ll love Jamie Quaid’s Boyfriend from Hell.
