  1. All of those masks for the covers are gorgeous. I have never been to a masquerade...or even a fancy dress part (which is very annoying as The Phantom of the Opera in one of my favourite books)My choice of a mask would be one that you held to your face on a stick, not one that you attached with elastic. It would be bronze and silver with antennae and wings, like a butterfly :)

  4. I'd KILL to go to a Masquerade! If I did, I'd probably go for a faerie-like butterfly mask or a black swan mask!

my mask looked like the 4th picture above, it was silver and the edges were outlined by sequences but the only difference was the color(silver).. also the part around the holes were covered by glitters :D

  8. I've been to a masquerade at a convention before, and I wore a gold mask with purple and lavender butterflies painted on it to match the gold obi I wore with my purple kimono. :)

  12. Our middle school dances were Mardi Gras balls (gotta love Louisiana!), so I went to them growing up. The only mask I remember is from the last ball I attended (which I usually do not acknowledge). It was blue with silver and white glitter trim, and it had blue and white beads hanging from strands along the bottom of the mask. It was pretty. :-)
