Follow Friday {38} What book to movie would make you nervous?

Question this week from Parajunkee and Allison Can Read.

Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, #1)

Q.
What is one book that you would be nervous to see be made into a movie because you think the movie would never live up to the book?
A: I love Jennifer Esteps adult Urban Fantasy series the Elemental Assassin. To see it in the movies would be fantastic, I would be excited to see who would portray Gin, the kick butt assassin that gets tougher and tougher in each book. But I would be nervous about what they would keep and have leave out, there are some many characters and elements that I feel would really need to stay in the movie and you just never know what the directors think is important to keep in. As a reader I'm pretty fond of this novel and I would wont to see the right person portray Gin and Owen, well pretty much all the awesome characters. So that too would be a key factor to me. Then there would be the special effects that are needed, they cant be cheesy and would really need to look awesome!

What about you? What book to movie would make you nervous?

  4. They really butcher UF. Haven't read the books yet, but from what the blurb suggests, it's pretty much impossible to get the books on screen without losings lots in the translation.

  6. You know what I think? I think that the entire movie crew must be REQUIRED to read the books before they even start thinking about filming. That way they'd get to know the characters and the story for who they are. Usually, the crew has no idea what the movie is about and that's just sad.
