Follow Friday! {22| and Blog Hop {21}

Question this week from Parajunkee

Q. If you could change the ending of any book or series, which book would you choose? why and to what?

Love Story
A.  I seriously can't think of one right now, most of the books I have read are series and haven't ended yet lol. I just read Love Story by Jennifer Echols, which I loved but I felt the ending left me hanging a bit. I wanted more, I needed more. I want to know what happens next? I don't really want to spoiler anything for those who haven't read it yet. But I will say I would change it to be longer continue with the character at least for a couple more pages and see what happens next for the leads after everything is resolved.

Question this week from Crazy for Books

Q. In What are you most looking forward to this fall/season? A particular book? Halloween? Cooler temps? A Vacation?

A.  Halloween is my favorite holiday and season, I always watch Nightmare Before Christmas and the weather gets amazingly cooler, plus who doesn't love all the TV shows about ghost and scary stories that come on just for the Fall season :)

  8. I hate being left hanging. If its a series I don't mind if there are questions about the larger series plots left in mid air but I should at least feel like closed the book with some resolution and a path forward.

  12. This week’s question is perfect for Labor Day weekend with the “official” end of summer and all.

I’m all about fall! I love all four seasons and I’m sorry to see summer go (I hope to get in a few more swims in my pool) but I’m also amped up for Autumn.

    Why?

For most of the same reasons we all like autumn – fall foods, Halloween, the chill in the air, changing leaves and candy corn. But I’ve got a scary slant to why I’m angling for autumn. Hop on over to my book blog at http://www.howardsherman.net to read all about the murder, mayhem, seriously spooky stuff and even some BSP!

    Happy Labor Day Weekend!

  13. Being the maverick that I am, I penciled in my own addition to this week’s Follow Friday question and then answered it.

Change the ending of a book? No way, no how.

From the perspective of a reader – it never even dawned on me. As a writer I find the notion sacrilegious.

Wait! I can explain! Follow me back to my blog for all the verbosity – http://www.howardsherman.net

  16. Excellent point on all of the scary movies that will be airing soon! Something for me to look forward to as well!

  17. Interesting point about the series! My favorite series - like Kate Daniels or the Elemental Assassin books - tend to have very strong endings for each book, while carrying plots through to connect the stories. Books that are linked by cliffhangers drive me nuts. :) Anyway, I'm rambling...

    Happy FF!
