Demons of Infernum

I’m here today to talk about my new series: the Demons of Infernum. I often get asked how this series came about. Well, the hero for the first book came to me in a dream. I knew he would be a demon, but not in the traditional sense: i.e. not an evil creature from hell. This is what led me to Infernum.

In the world I’ve created, there are multiple dimensions from which many species of beings derive. Vampires, werewolves, fae, demons: the people of Earth think they are all mythical creatures, but they really do exist. Just not in the same way as outlined in all those horror stories.

The hero of Blood of the Demon is Keegan, a half-demon from a hellish dimension called Infernum. His father, Mammon, is a demon who subjected him and his brothers to intense mental and physical abuse. They escaped him, but they still live with the emotional scars of their upbringing. After Mammon devises a way to bring on the apocalypse on Earth, Keegan and his brothers, now working as inter-dimensional bounty hunters for the Elden Council, are charged with stopping him.

Brynn Meyers is an art gallery owner with some special abilities. She can read the memories embedded in objects, and she can drain others of their lifeforce with a simple touch. Although she doesnt know it, shes also the key to the apocalypse.

In order to save Earth, Keegan has to stop his father by any means necessary, even if it means destroying the key. But something about her arouses his protective instincts. He never expected she’d be the one woman he couldn’t resist.

I love writing the Demons of Infernum series because, even though it features paranormal characters with inhuman abilities, the relationship between the brothers is very human. They are fiercely loyal to each other. They’ve been through hell and back together, and will do anything to protect each other.
Do you have a favorite novel or series that features strong interpersonal relations? (Black Dagger Brotherhood, anyone?) If so, I’d love to hear about it!
