Thank you for giving me the chance to read Demon Possession and Interview you. J

SNR: Can you tell us in your own words a little bit about your book Demon Possession?

KF: Demon Possession is about a mysterious woman who escapes her long slavery, only to find herself once again trapped on a ship, where she learns what living free can truly be like. Along the way she makes great friends, who help her figure out her shadowed past, and steals the heart of a stubborn demon while she’s at it.

SNR: What got you interested in writing a romance?

KF: I’m not exactly sure where I got the desire to write, it just happened one day, but writing romance comes from an inner idea that true love is a real thing, one of the best of things. I know that sounds super cheezy, but I am a romance writer after all. ;)

SNR: What inspired you with the idea of the world you created in Demon Possession, having it be in space and different planets?

KF: Growing up I was very into sci-fi, fantasy, paranormal, well . . . anything that wasn’t reality. LOL. The book, Demon Possession has actually been developed over a decade of daydreaming, I’d only recently decided to put it down on paper . . . uh computer. Of course, back then it wasn’t so full of the great saucy moments it is today.

SNR: I’m curious about how you came up with the different species? Particularly the Demons, because I love Sebastian and Cale. J

KF: Me too, I’m going to enjoy writing Cale’s story. I love strong male characters, and though demons have always had a bad rap—with always being the stereotypical evildoer and all—I wanted to paint a different picture, like what if there was an entire demon culture, with good and bad, just like ours.  Plus they have wicked attitudes.

I’m intrigued by the idea that perhaps all our myths are based lightly in reality, but what if only a hint of the truth has survived through time. That’s where I get the inspiration for most my characters.

SNR: If you could be anyone of your characters who would you be and why? I have to say I would definitely be Sonya; she was just a bundle of spunk and fun. Lol..

KF: I think I would have to agree with you. Aside from being snarky, Sonya is a hard worker, takes pride in her accomplishments—which can sometimes come across as arrogance—and she gets along with anyone . . . well almost anyone, don’t mention pirates around her. Plus she knows how to have a good time.

SNR: What are some of your favorite authors in Paranormal Romance or Science fiction fantasy?

KF: So so many to choose from, goodness where to start. Well, I have Larissa Ione’s full series, Demonica, of course, Yea demons. Chloe Neill’s Chicagoland Vampire series. Anything by Kresley Cole, love her stuff. Anya Bast, Gena Showalter, Karen Marie Moning, Jeaniene Frost . . .

SNR: What was your favorite experience in writing this book any fun quirks?

KF: The whole writing process is great, I might be writing, intending to head in one direction, but then the characters will lead me an entirely different way. When you write you get so involved with the characters that you start to feel their emotions, so when one of my characters is going through a hard time, I feel it too. It’s fun to write different personalities because you have to completely switch your thinking.

SNR: Do you have anything your working on now? I know there is a book two in the future. Which I’m super excited about.

KF: Heck yeah, Shadow Quest Book 2 is currently in the works, called Demon Slave. It’s going to be Marik’s story. After that, we may follow Calic to Earth and see what he’s up to. I have lots of ideas, and I just can’t write fast enough.

Kiersten thank you so much for visiting Seeing Night Reviews and I look forward to reading Shadow Quest!
