I just finished the fourth book in the Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian. This series is so good and very character based.
She really wants you to feel the emotions and each point of view of both the male and female main characters. Each male is a Breed Warrior aka Vampire and a good one at that. They protect our world from Rogue Vampire who are blood thirst and kill innocents. The female characters are Breed Mates who have a birth mark somewhere on the of a crescent moon. Very few have the mark but those who do possess a talent, for example : one can heal with a touch, read minds, or see ghost. Its a pretty awesome plot through each book, all coming to trying to stop the Rouge.
I highly recommend this series. the next one comes out December 2008.
